That's a good way to spend your money, hopefully they can do something great there. That album means a lot to me 🖤

people seem awfully motivated to exclaim that they don't care about this

It's true we really don't care. No way I'm looking up american football because atiba bought their house. He kinda seems like the kinda guy to sit around and smell his own farts, and now he has another place to do it. Yay.

I've never been as motivated in my life to proclaim that I don't care about something as I am today about this.

Damn didn’t expect to see this many midwest emo fans on here. Both Kinsellas have done a lot of cool shit music wise but that AF album is legendary. Algernon Cadwallader is cool as shit too. Penpal is also a really good band that plays the style, also from IL

Super sick the house gets to stay a while longer. My roommates and I toured it in 2017 only to find the inside totally fucked with hella water damage and walls caving in :/. Maybe Atiba could fly in TJ to return the crib to it’s former glory 🙏

Saw Algernon live last fall it was wonderful. Glad to see they're playing shows again.

Also wanted to add that Atiba buying the AFB house sounds like a shitpost. Was not on my 2023 bingo card but I back it.

I saw your mom do a ollie to cooch drop straight down the big black pole, it was gnarly. she defiantly shut that shit down

feels so lame to post my own art but this fits here

@overwaxed is bout it, wish i could grill with you dog

shout out to everyone who brought up algernon, just as important as american football to me except for riding my bike, drinking vodka and taking pictures of stars instead of adolescent makeouts

spent some very fun nights in philly at their warehouse! that was a really special time in music, I don't love a lot of 'revival' jams but they were legit. Next time listen to Ghosts and Vodka!

also re: music from the blind video, I best Mike could slay a cover of the knife song!

this is really funny to me. it's been meme'd so much that that adds to the legacy of it. pretty weird.

i love the instrumentation of american football s.t #1, but emo vocals (of all kinds)... i don't understand how anyone can stand them. i tried! nope. i respect the scene building aspect of these people, though.

atiba was at my local skatepark helping the university of oregon kids shoot some ollies over a hip. pretty cool but couldn't use that section of the park. oh well.

Just listened to a couple of their songs.  For anyone curious about the band, don’t bother.  Aural torture like I can’t begin to explain.
When nothing in society deserves respect, we should fashion for ourselves in solitude new silent loyalties.
