I only watched 10 minutes of that dew tour contest, but I'll say Oski's run was incredible. Zion basically confirmed that olympic skateboarding is just about how many 540's you can land in a run.

that first 540 tho! plus the indy bs 3 into the heelflip indy.  they wanna see spins and flip tricks and he gave them what they wanted.  that's the way contests work. Oski was amazing and was in first the entire time for a reason but a bigspin bs disaster and a bs noseblunt arent gonna cut it

the most impressive thing about the entire contest was that 14-year-old kid who was absolutely destroying the course

I liked Zion's runs. I liked Oskis even more. Oski was skating a bowl and Zion was skating a park.  Oski used the corners way more than Zion did. Zion simply did the more gnarly single tricks. He also did higher airs than Oski did.

I agree. they basically proclaimed him winner after the first trick.....confusing or its just rigged via vans/dew money

Oski's run was more of a park run, really liked him hitting that clear extension part.
I think if he had thrown in a bigger air somewhere he might have taken it.

At first I thought Zions 540 was overated but on the replay it was pretty dank w the alternating grabs, that and the yuge frontside air.

The 14 year old just lacked that oomf. He was killing it too, but he just couldn't go as high as Zion. Watching him consistently come up short on that switch floater over the middle, and still roll away was fucking nuts. Watching him crush it after Zion's run sucked all the air out the room was impressive, mad respect for that kid whose name I don't currently remember.

Zion's 5 out the gate is crazy. I love how hype he was.

honestly i could be wrong but, i’m assuming this is just one of the cuts that nike is rumored to be making. i can’t really think of one person that has left nike by choice, especially someone riding for red bull who doesn’t mind being deemed a “sell out” there’s absolutely no reason you would quit nike if you are honest about being apart of skateboarding partially for the check, i think the way he worded himself was probably to avoid the honest “i got the boot” and make it sound like it was his choice, this is just my assumption though with absolutely no backing evidence
