I'm pretty positive somewhere in the magazine itself it says it's a halfcab heel. Don't think I've ever seen the footage either though.

I was gonna say, it looks like a half cab heel, and he did that trick all the time. This is some Daniel Harold Sturt photo trickery, since the spot looks nothing like that on footage. There was the Thrasher cover of him doing the BS 360 at this spot, same angle, and it was in one of the Sorry videos, but it looked so much different (read: less gnar) that for the longest time I didn't even realize it was the footage of the photo.

edit, here it is: https://youtu.be/Z3PKJKkjEQ0?t=129

I won a random contest on Crailtap.com In like 2005 and they sent me a box of product. The only thing I still have left is a stack of 4 Fillmore wheels patches.
They gave me a 4star binder/folder I wish I still had.
I think I still have a signed Dave Mayhew Elenex poster from a demo in 2000 too.

I had a skate shop for almost 10 years so I have a fair amount of stuff.

I guess my top 3 would be

1. Girl OG Doll ... Eric Koston By Tony Larson and the deck to go with it.

2. I have a bunch of stuff Matt Hensley gave me which I am super excited to have to this day. I feel so cool saying "Hensley gave me this"

and D. Some GONZ stuff... 1 drawing, 3 vinyl figures and the priest blowing bubbles fellow.

That was tough to narrow down... longest I have ever spent on a post.

Probably the few things I've somehow kept since my first few years skating in the late 80s:

1. My old elephant wrench.
2. A Thunder truck that i thought had a fucked axle thread but it doesn't.
3. An old Life's a Beach hat with this skull pattern and one of those lil flip up brims that I wore everyday.

I have a ton old crap, but my top three would be:
 1. Third place trophy from a CASL contest I skated in.
 2. Collection of Rocco-ear Big Brother mags.
 3. Fourstar "Stars in Motion" LA Olympics graphic tee

Just remembered a few more:

-Approx 16 foot by 4 foot Element Levi Brown Ollie point of sale / shop fitting screened on a plastic board from when I worked in a Billsbong owned franchise skate shop. It was shut down by head office, we gutted the place.
Have a little RVCA wooden block that’s a perfect ledge for tech decks. Some branded hangers and shit too. The list goes on.

I have a collection of skate dvds that numbers above 140 iirc that I’m sure contains some oddities but not actually Oddity.

A few good VHS tapes that I’m not sure would be considered rare but I’m glad I have: Sight Unseen, Mosaic, Guilty, VideoRadio, an Irish Scene video from early 2000s - I did a tape to tape copy of it and only watched the copy for years so as to preserve the original  8) .

Some sticker sheets that came with the Nike E-Qs when they were released - stickers of P-prod’s first short, some dunks in different colour-ways and others. They are pretty cool but like most of articles of skate interest they are packed away somewhere.

Oh I have a pair of Reynolds 1s I’m pretty good condition in brown leather.
I'm going to argue that Placebo owes their entire career to a Canadian dude's skate video part. Appleyard should be getting royalties for this shit.

-Keith Hufnagel signed a shirt when Huf made an SF 1906 Centennial tee back in 2006. My brother was going to school there at the time and got it for me for christmas that same year.

-Signed RVCA poster from the 2010 team during Leo Romero's SOTY shindig. That party was a fucking blast too.

-Gerwer used to come into my old coffee shop and he gave me a set of wheels for as a thanks for always hooking him up with free coffee. The wheels flatspotted crazy fast but I still have one on the mantle in my apartment.

1. Lee Bender Actions Realized model as a tribute to my sister-in-law who succumbed to MS a few years ago.
2. Boxes of mags that cover pretty much every Thrasher, TWS and even PowerEdge from 1987-1999 at which time I fell off for a while and got stuck being too grown-up
3. More for shits & giggles, I have a signed Borra wheel in my office that he sent me some years ago, I can't remember why the hell I ever emailed The Borrics about something in the first year it was a "thing", but he mailed me a flatspotted wheel, so there you go.

I'd say a chunk of concrete from my home town skate park that got demolished around 2000.  A set of gullwings that my cousin gave me in the mid/early nineties that had plastic baseplates and a circular notch in the center for grinding.  And third I'd say old footage that I'd really need to get digitized.

A piece of tile from Brooklyn Street Skate Spot-a long gone Portland diy where I spent a lot of time and made a lot friends
Photo of Reynolds’s doing a fs flip over the box at The PIT in Rockford IL. Probably 98, shot on a point and shoot at the 90degree catch
A set of hangers from the year I went all in with slappies. Both too the axle and back one cracked through. It wouldn’t break, it just kept bending and made skating more difficult than usual

Other than over 20 years of skate mags and videos, I have some miscellaneous autographs, all my mag tear outs that used to be on my wall in my parents house as a teen, and the last deck of my favorite shop that closed down.

I had TK's sweat on my Blind sweater from like 00-02,he was skating Vans in Orange, and was talking to everyone that said whats up. He sat next to me on a bench where my crew was, and wiped his forehead on my sweater, smiled, then went back in to skate more. I washed it the next day, Tide gets the Shalom out. I still have the sweater too

Damn I left my bubbler at my parents house

Wait, i think this is the second Shalom story involving him wiping his sweat with a pal’s clothes. Maybe it’s his fetish.
