Please remake the fairlanes ,and use the pattern from when they were 1st released back in the 90s, that is all, thank you. Shit maybe even Supreme could re-release them during F/W '11.

The fairlane was a sick shoe, pretty much a vans version of the etnies rap which later became the es' accel. So yeah I mean those are classics for soletech and for skateboarding, it would make sense for Vans to make them again. I know they did a few years ago and even had a mid top version if I remember correctly. However I don't think the shoe did well, in my opinion the sole of the fairlane needs to be reworked, not vulcanized but just reworked. I think that the vulc shoe thing is fading out so this would be a great non vulc classic vans could bring back

I was up in the local mall with my lady tonight, and popped into the vans store they got set up there, figured I'd get a look at these new tnt5s and maybe considering buying a pair later from my local shop.

I've seen it. I was disappointed.... great concept (each skater had an intro based on a certain decade of skateboard history) but skating wise it seemed like a compilation of throwaway footage. Not what I was expecting as Vans "first" video.

Vf corp owns vans, bought the rights to the name way back, accounts for the shitty quality you get in vans now, they need to use the old materials. MY friend had a pair of vintage slip on white vans and I skated those long than any of the vans I've ever had. the soles never even wore down.

I agree with the soles being re-worked. The Fairlanes had a hollow, unpadded cupsole with vertical rubber pieces as support--then they'd glue the insoles on top. You'd get sore feet without the benefit of good board feel. Still, they were a relatively good shoe for the time.
