What makes you so sure of that?

Does Pontus know about the G&S vid?  Certainly.  Is this a way of evoking his nostalgia from when he was younger in skating?  Maybe.  Is it a direct reference?  Perhaps.  But most people definitely dont know about Footage, and I think you can evoke similar nostalgia by choosing more original music, so I’m torn about it.  So many song ABD’s lately, I’m not a fan of the trend even if I like this new Pontus video.

it’s a tribute, and done pretty tastefully imo. introduces new generation to the old.

it’s also not the first time he’s used music from an old video- dane brady’s part in i like it here used music from an h street vid.

also used audio of blender talking about buying a car lot in blew it at some point. “thanks nb for the inspiration”

Great vid but so many clips deserved better filming.

You can't wave an HVX with a fisheye around like it's a VX with a deathlens and zooming makes it harder to see the actual tricks/spots.

There's so much I loved about this video.

The way that personal parts felt more concerned with being local, than focused on the skater itself, is rather genius, if you ask me. So for instance when Hjalte and Ville have parts its about them knowing how to skate Copenhagen, and the other riders can visit them. The same thing goes with the tour clips - it felt like an actual team being on a holiday together.

Stuff like that makes it a much more interesting viewing experience, if you ask me!

Can't remember the last time I enjoyed a full length this much. I sat with my hands in my lap the entire film through, taking it all in. Hardly thinking, hardly considering anything except contemplating and re-calling the feeling of why I've spend the majority of my life skateboarding.

Does anyone actually prefer watching a 45 minute montage vs a video with individual parts?

probably my only gripe. hate seeing my favorite skaters footy sprinkled throughout; basically forces me to watch the whole vid which i would rather not do. should be together for easy sorting/skimming.

that said this video has top notch skating and a great team. probably great for the kiddos to kill 45 whole minutes.
