i find all these insta posts increasingly annoying to read. everyone's like 'oh this sucks so much' 'mike was the best we all miss him'
i know it's not that black & white and there's probably a huge story to all this but
had he felt that outpouring of love & support when he was still alive, the story could have had a different end. maybe. i don't know it just sucks
its really hard to help people who are struggling with addictions. a lot of addicts do a really good job at hiding it and even the ones who have been clean for long periods of time struggle every day with their urges to use. as a friend/family member/loved one, there is only so much that we can do, and our love and support can make a difference, but a lot of times there is nothing you can do to truly save someone who is struggling. by all means, reach out to your friends and loved ones who are struggling with addiction and offer what you can to help.
im sorry you find peoples grieving to be annoying, but you dont have to read it. let them say what they want. they just lost someone they loved.
