@goatgruff13 interested to hear how those riptide pivot cups hold up over time.  As a fellow "big & tall" skater I blow through stock pivot cups annoyingly quickly.

Yeah I'm hoping they last as well. They seem really legit tho. The material they are made out of is nice. They are hard and its very slippery. It allows the truck to pivot very smoothly. Like I'm not sure if I'll even need to lube them. They already feel really slick like the material is oiled, but they aren't.

I haven't owned a board in like 15 years or so. But a week or two ago the weather was so nice I randomly decided to build myself a cruiser. It feels good to be back skating! Anyways this is my new setup:

RIPNDIP 9.0 Deck - I really dig the shape and it has a 15.75" wheelbase which is nice for my bigass.
Mob Grip Space Out
Ace 55 "Purple Coping Eaters" - Bones Hardcore Bushings Medium Bottoms/Hard Tops, Riptide 96a Pivot Cups
Kryptonics Star Trac 65mm 86a Wheels
Shortys Black Panther Ceramic Bearings
1/2" Vision Psycho Shock Risers
Loaded Button Head Allen Hardware

The stock bushings on the Aces were too squishy for me (I weigh 225lbs), so the Bones bushings made a night and day difference for me. The stock bushings use softer bottoms and harder tops, so I did the same to keep a similar feel just with harder durometers. Paired with the harder "self lubricating" Riptide pivot cup bushings, it turns so smoothly! After I rode them a couple days and toyed with the tightness of the trucks, it rides like a dream now! I also want to say how impressed I am with these bearings! They are super quiet, and super fast. I for sure recommend them for affordable ceramic bearings! The Kryptonics wheels are friggin awesome as well! My city has some pretty ate up pavement, and the wheels are excellent on cracks and pebbles and such. I'm pretty stoked on this setup, but of course I'm going to keep tinkering! Oh and sorry my camera is a bit messed up if you can't tell.
Are the bearings gold with black shields? I think I’m rocking the same black panther ceramics and they’ve been holding up for a year now on my cruiser.

Yup, that's them! Good to know! Do you clean them often?

The slick is slightly slower, but I like it alot. It's an adjustment being lower on boardslides because your wheels hit faster, same with transition with rock and rolls, disasters etc.
But the spot we skate has a curb with a huge gap that we always had to look out for, with this board I can just go right over it.

Yeah they look pretty interesting. That guy Kev from CCS did a slide test on a santa cruz version and it looks like it could take a heavy beating

Thanks Guys! the measurements are all over the place everywhere. but the sticker on mine had a 14.38 WB. It measured at 14.25 and the length is correctly at 31.5, the deck feels skinny almost like a zip zinger due to the taper from the middle to the tail but it's still fun and can do tricks on.

As far as the Welcome Candy Bar Rails go...haven't had luck on finding them online but my local shop near me are on their last stock. Haven't tried e-mailing Welcome yet but I do prefer their rails over any other due to the adhesive sticky backing. I hate it when the rail bends as you screw it in, so it being placed on the deck where you want it w/ the help of the sticky end. the alignment is on point as you screw the bolts in.

8.25 Fucking Awesome w/Mob
144 Indy forged hollow
54mm Fast Skateboard Wheel Co
Bones Reds
Shortys Lights 7/8

Tyshawn gave me this deck when I went to NY about 2 months ago. First time ridding an FA and I can really notice that the tail and nose are much steeper than the Passport I was ridding before. It's messing up a bit my pop but after two sessions it's feeling more normal now.
Now I put some new FSWC wheels that I got in the mail today.
Kinda excited to try them out but I think I might have went with a size thats too big for what I'm used to.

Bought a Bacon board on clearance, wood and shape are good, just wasn't feeling the graphic after the first session so I made it into a homemade Homer.

-Bacon/Homer 8.5x32
-Ace 44s
-Really yellowed OJs
-Swiss
-Mob M80
-Feet, lately with Slip On Pros

First time poster, long time lurker.
Re-pulled my groin for like the 20th time today so I thought I'd join in on the fun cause I can't skate. I got the madness too so maybe I'll fit right in.

Board: 8.125" x 32.2" with 14.31" wb Element Brandon Westgate
Trucks: 8.18" Theeve CSX trucks 5.5 (stock but Bones Medium Bushings + Riptide Pivot cups on the way)
Wheels: 56mm OJ Insaneathanes
Bearings: Minilogo
Hardware: Shorty's 1"

This board looks bad in low quality and skated condition now that I'm looking at it, but what can you do!
Theeve trucks feel really good already, hoping to make them better with the changes.
