got the globe dover's from the zum'z sale for like $28. anyone skate these things? or am i just wearing them out and about? or am i returning them a sad panda?and just scooped these CTAS off poshmark for $23 brand new. and dropped a whole other bunch of lowball offers on other older CTAS w/lunarlon.
Box in the mail days are fun! After trying out several other wheel brands over the winter I'm going back to a combination of Spitfire and SML. I just can't find anything that works better for me. I am absolutely sold on Modus bearings though. Their $15 Blues outperformed my Bones Swiss over the winter. The ceramics are really nice too but I may end up just sticking with the Blues, they're really that good! The enamel pin is the Modus Cassette pin, looks cool. The Theories shirt looks cool but came with a huge hole in the armpit (which I fixed myself) and is so paper-thin I'll probably rip it first time I bail, sizing is way off too, not worth $30 IMO. Theories socks came with a nice big snag in them. I thought Theories soft goods would be on par with the quality of Polar, they're just as expensive but so far the quality is not even close. Spitfire shirt is nice, feels well made and is true to size. DLX soft goods are always relatively inexpensive and seem consistent with sizing and quality. The wheels are the SML 54mm 92A and 53mm 97A which are nice if you've got banged up feet like me and need a break from skating rock hard wheels all the time. Never skated the Spitfire Radial shape before so wanted to give that a try on my park setup. Currently skating Lock-Ins on my park setup but they work too well and I keep hanging up on the mini-ramp.Got the SML wheels at: http://smlwheels.comThe rest at: http://tactics.com
Came up on these this morning for $18. Now to buy a VCR and rip them on to my hard drive.
Pipe cutter, rub brick, bondo, spray lacquer, a sheet of grip & some Toy Machine socks
