Best Transworld Part
« on: December 11, 2017, 11:51:51 PM »
I just got done listening to Ty’s 9 club, and after hearing him talk about all the old transworld videos, I was curious as to what people thought was the single greatest Transworld Part.

What immediately comes to mind is Heath in Sight Unseen, Marc and/or Carrol in Modus. I was having a hard time deciding.

Interested to hear what others think

My personal favorite is Dan Drehobl, Free Your Mind. He hits handrails, does 540s over hips and skates to the zombies in such a classic San Francisco video. The whole video captures the vibe of San Francisco at that time so well. Dan is so smooth!  Also all the slams he takes to start his part off are brutal.

2nd vote would be for PJ. sometimes it is a fine command of the english language to say nothing and he extended that to skating. PJ's plan B part is the emperor's new clothes.

It's a tie between Kirchart and Carroll. My favorite besides those parts is the Alien Workshop section of The Cinematographer Project.

Carrol in Modus, but I remember feeling that Bobby Worrest in Right Foot Forward was the part that era of skateboarding really needed. It was super tech but kinda lazy at the same time.

Between Feedback, Modus, and Sight Unseen I can't even pick my favorite video, let alone single part.  I keep looking through the list of parts and it's all too much.

I agree 100 percent. I have watched both of them more than any other transworld part.

Hate to kill the dream but there was only 4 or 5 tricks actually in SF. Just rewatched (thanks for the reminder!), and a lot of the stuff that looks like SF is in Berkeley or Oakland.

I'd say The Reason was my favorite TWS video growing up, just for the timing in my childhood, so I will throw a curveball out there and say Danny Montoya. Maybe not the best, or even my favorite, but a damn good video part.

Never got the hype about trainwreck.  Chris cole definitely had the best part in that video though.   That was when he was beating up the Love gap and hadn’t fully assimilated from enjoi into zero
