Soon to be purchases:

I know I said that I wasn't gonna make any more purchases, but I have a few bucks left on my gift card for the skateshop and I'll definitely be getting these sooner rather than later.

Long time? You're not that old. Do you have a job that makes you that kind of money?

How much did you pay for it?

7 years is pretty long... But I'm still baffled. Does you working at your school mean you're still a student?

I don't know how much that thing cost but I know school administrators who can't lay down cash like that to pay down a car.

I am still a student at my school. Also a Air Traffic Controller Student Assistant at my school (that's the job)

Tuition for my school, strangley as it's the number one ranked Flight/ATC school in the Nation by the FAA, is only 1,200 dollars.

I've made some good decisions in my life, and have treated myself to this beautiful Volvo

It's cool you're in school and working but I'm guessing "Air Traffic Controller Student Assistant" isn't what's paying down cash on that Volvo.

Does "made some good decisions in my life" include being born to well-to-do parents?

I got the ATC Student Assistant job last year, the past 6 years are what bought the car really.

And yes, my parents are well off. Father is lead engineer for HP in Atlanta, Mother is Head Onchology Nurse at Delkab Medicle Center.

However, they didn't drop a dime on this car, it was all me

"It was all me" is probably a little disingenuous and sounds a little cocky. I'd be willing to bet your parents have a lot to do with the fact you can afford to put that much money towards a car. Plenty of people make more than you and save longer, yet can't afford to do it. And not for the lack of making good decisions.

In fact dropping that much cash on something that will depreciate as much as it will probably isn't a very good financial decision at all.

What do I care what it's worth after I buy it? It's my dream car.

And my good decisions were buying cheap, selling high

You do realize that the company that owned Volvo (Ford), sold that shit to Chinese car manufacturer Geely.  That's probably why you got a deal on that.  Think about that in terms of repair parts or service for your vehicle.  I think you seriously got ripped off without even knowing it.  http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/volvo-sold-to-china/

And also bought some new pants; Levi's 514 Khaki's. Got em at ross for only 16 bucks. They fit super good, I hope the washer/drier doesn't mess that up when I wash em eventually.

701? i cant tell the tripod from the picture

that film is expensive here in canada, same with developing, with one of my cameras turns out like 1.50 per picture, that might be cheap compared to some of your stuff though

the tripod is the 190xb with a mhhhhh 3d head. it was 160 euro. the 5 pack portra was about 23 euro.  you can get it here cheaper on ebay. maybe film is more expensive in the us but you get the cameras way cheaper then here (for medium format 20-50%)
