I really like their more melodic stuff as opposed to their bleep bloop bleep stuff.  Anxious for a link.

Big fan of their earlier shit, the first three albums were amazing.

Radiohead pretty much never disappoints, musically as well as just in their general way. While I doubt I'll buy the full Newspaper Album version, they are pretty much the only current band I would consider paying that much for something of theirs, simply because I know everything inside will be amazing.
As for their albums, I think In Rainbows is a very close second to OK Computer for me, so I'm really excited to see what the next one sounds like. Kid A, Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief grew on me a lot and I've gotten to enjoy some of their bleep-bloop stuff a lot more, but yeah, hoping for something equal to Rainbows I and II.

And not to pollute the thread, but any Radiohead fans who haven't heard this album might get a laugh or just enjoy it...

Only Radiohead can make me spend 48 bucks on a newspaper.. but really Like Whiteley said, Radiohead never disappoints. Which makes me comfortable spending nearly 50 dollars on an album in which I have know idea on what it is going to sound like and packaged in some way that has never been done before.

I had to scroll down and away from that video in hopes that I could still enjoy the song.

I don't know that it helped, but I'll give it a few minutes and hopefully shake the image of Thom Yorke's contortionist freakout that somehow reminds me of global warming.

I will say that I listened to Hail to the Thief the other day from beginning to end, and it has definitely grown on me.  Good from beginning to end.  I used to be somewhat indifferent regarding this album, so I'm pretty excited to get some new enjoyment out of it.

Listening to it now, three songs in and it's pretty awesome. I like the second song.

Smokecrack, thanks for that.

As for that Towering Above the Rest set: what exactly is it?

It's a 24 disc box set of all their b-sides. There is tons of good shit I've never heard before I got it.

No love for The Bends?

No love for The Bends?

The Bends defines early period Radiohead greatness to me, but as great as it is, it was still basically just rock and roll. With OK Computer and then more so with Kid A they really started making something new, and became ground-breaking and unclassifiable greatness. At least that's how I feel about it. Plus I don't have nostalgia for The Bends because I didn't really listen to it much when it was new so I see (or rather hear) it in a different light.

Listening to the stream of it now, thanks for the link. I'll be buying it for sure.
