Help with defect VX1000 (tape wont eject)

Hey slappers!
not sure where to post this, but thought i'd give it a go here...


So a while back my VX1000 broke down. Basicly, the camera is still working, but somehow the tape wont eject.  Also it's not possible to play back from the tape inside the camera. Otherwise it seems to be working fine.
problem is, I have a tape inside the camera with footy i plan to use in a future edit, and it would really suck if it's lost.

Does anybody know if there is a way to manually eject the tape, or somehow get the tape out without the camreas own eject-system?
any help will be highly appreciated!

you're footy should be ok but your camera will need to be repaired.  something like this happen to me about 4 years ago and I sent it to Kerry at Video Electronics.  I think it cost like $300 to fix it.

Only thing is i live in Europe, so I was hoping maybe I could fix it myself... Thanks anyway!

Just gonna repeat what everyone has said on here, don't fuck around send it to kerry he's the best. Hes fixed every problem I've ever had with one.

I can vouch for @vx_doc. He lives in the same town as me.
Mentioned this before, but he's sold me two near mint condition VX1000s. He also fixed an issue I had with one of my viewfinders straight away, had it back in my hands in less than 24 hours!
