Title: Hummus Recipes

Anyone got a really good hummus recipe, I mean like really good...

im wokring with this:
2 cans of chick peas
chopped garlic
2 table spoons of tahini
one cup of water
one cup of olive oil
salt and lemon juice...
blend it up and serve...

Any suggestion on how to make this better?

I used to love making Hummus at my last job.
I don't know any fancy recipes but I would allways add a little more tahini and garlic then the recipe asks for.
Gives the flavor alittle more punch.

If I'm reading your recipe correctly it looks like you don't use enough Tahini.
If you are saying 2 cans of chick peas as in...

Than you are gonna need about 1 and 1/2 cups of tahini. Tahini IS the flavor of the hummus.

try adding 1-2 tsp of Cumin

also the ammount of garlic you use can really effect the initial taste and after-effect. Sort of a sudden spicy after taste. And yeah, more tahini

no problemo, dude. I make probably 25lbs of the stuff a week at work. Shit's da bomb, I can eat it with a spoon out of a bowl like yogurt

I am happy to report, that with your combined advice in hand, I've made the best batch of hummus in my life. The suggestion to add more tahini and cumin really made the texture and flavour a fuck of a lot better!

usually we make our own hummus, but my mom bought some "roasted rep pepper" flavor hummus, and its really fucking good. yall should try it out.
