The thing about the hooliganism is that England just doesn't bring its A game anymore. All the baddest from England were banned from traveling decades ago and they are all on a data base that prevents them from traveling through airports and train stations whenever there is a tournament on. The Russians on the other hand just don't give a fuck. Expect more of this and FIFA doing sweet FA about it because the bribes are already in for the World Cup.
Looks like a lot of the russian firms who are known to the police in France with the help of the Russian police are flying to Holland and hiring cars to avoid detection at the French airports. Also reports of French and Polish firms picking off small groups of English fans. Anyway, Woy Hodgson fucked up, no Vardy, Kane taking all the corners, Sterling hasn't got a final ball, after they wet 1 up they sat back and stopped pressing high up, Rooney off for Wilshere was a fucking joke. Not looking forward to getting humped by Wales.

Hard not to be delighted for Wales.

Spot on.  Watching the Welsh anthem and seeing armies of fans with tears running down their cheeks was rad to see, more so when the team were able to cap that with a win.

I'm watching the Copa America CENTENARIO (now with 100% more AMERICA!!!) and I feel that I should have been looking directly at the sun instead. I'm watching Brazil play Peru and this match is definitely going to be a frustrating draw.

It has to be. I'll naively expect something better for the Olympic games, as the younger players are slightly less infuriating than the guys in their "prime", and Neymar will be playing. It's sad to see that the national team is Neymar + 10. I have the morbid curiosity of seeing the return of Ganso, hopefully he'll be subbed in tonight. If he wasn't so fucking lazy, inconsistent and prone to injuries, I wonder where could he be...

"Sick punch in", that was just a ridiculous forearm bump. The guy hid his arm in guilt. The worst part is how the ref took forever to just call the damn goal. If you're going to do such a criminal mistake like that, you have to be decisive. He didn't award two penalty kicks, one for each side... so I guess that evens out. A draw would be enough for Brazil to advance. Where are the center forwards in this country? It's a sad, sad day when you mourn the absence of a guy in the wrong end of the thirties like Ricardo Oliveira.

Hoping Wales puts on a good show after seeing France come back like that yesterday, the Albanians seemed so hyped on the draw
then, nah

edit: in the Canadian broadcast, they had a mic in the tunnel and all you hear is Joe Hart yelling "MOVE THAT FUCKIN BALL!!!", pretty funny

Gutted the Czechs didn't get the winner. Hope they make it out of the group stage, although they'll probably be destroyed if they do.

Interesting match, the flare shit was kinda lame and seem to give the Czechs time to regroup. Liking these last minute goals

I really don't mind the flares, especially given the reason behind them - protest against the organized criminals running the football federation.

Similar to this previous incident: https://www.theguardian.com/football/blog/2014/nov/17/croatia-fans-terrorism-italy-planned-cry-attention

Not flares though, bombs. Or at least some hefty fireworks that could have done real damage. But indeed, there was more to it than meets the eye.

Sort of had this feeling it was over for Croatia after that happened, which was true and it is a bummer as they were probably the most entertaining side as far as football quality goes. Srna, Modric, Rakitic that may well be the best midfield in Europe.

Except Spain already has that, in Iniesta. Such a magical player. He has been the best on this continent with some distance for years now. Sure he asks for a card now and again but imagine embarrassing the Pépé's of this world on a weekly basis. Only Messi gets fouled on more than iniesta does, if that. I was gutted in 2010 but i hope he scores the tournament winner again so FIFA cannot ignore him anymore. #JusticiaParaIniesta

So far, Switzerland v France has resulted in two ripped jerseys, a popped football, and multiple naps.
