There are mountains and oceans constantly in the way, the gravity is too damn high and I can't even walk over to Japan.

fun fact: while there are american crocs in the everglades, there's a big chance those were nile crocodiles, and those are an invasive species. they're a huge threat to the wildlife and alligators there.
