Your preferred Slip ons?

Skated vans pros, how do cons or the wino g6 compare?

I only wear slip ons when I'm cruising around, since my ankles are so bad. But Vans are the best imo. None of the others I've tried seem to lock your heel in at all. I've tried state and emericas. I also have a bit of an in-between foot size, so that might be the issue.

I prefer wino g6. Had vans pros after having winos I quickly went back to winos. Had a fucked foot so I got the etniea veer slip cup and it’s cool but something about the winos really just work for me

If my foot was narrower I'd say Vans, but because I have a slightly wider foot the Winos are a better fit straight out of the box and it doesn't ruin my pinky toe. That's just for me, I know everyone's foot is different.

cons slip ons look the best imo, but i got them off a friend and they were a half size too big, so i ended up mainly wearing them as chillers. would love to try em again in the right size tho.

skated tons of vans pros, but after a while the elastic just stretches too much in my feet so they only have a very small window for me.

I love my vans slip on's for chilling, cruising around, maybe some slappys , but I do not understand how people skate that shoe as their normal shoe.

I don't like skating slip ons but the Lakai Riley 2's are my favorite chill shoe.

Wino g6 for me. I'd probably strictly skate these if I didn't blow out the stitching on top in less than 2 weeks, every damn time.

I love the vans slip on pro, if I can avoid catching the elastic they last.

cons seem to be better about catching the elastic it seems, but they're not as comfy and I prefer the way vans slips look, but durability wise I think cons might have them beat. I'll still probably buy vans.

the matchcourt slip ons Adidas had out were nice even though the ones I had were canvas, the toe shape was great but they hurt my feet and looked kinda goofy.

The goofy rubber underneath the leather on the vans pros pinch my toes like nobody’s business. Guess I could size up but don’t want to risk them flopping around everywhere since (duh) there’s no way to adjust the fit.

Cons one star slips, the flick on them is so good. On my 5th pair now. You can always find them pretty cheap too.

I love the wino g6 and was really happy with the state keys.

Just superglue the stitching, it's not rocket science guys...

State Keys are nice because they ride up a bit higher on the foot. Wearing some now and thinking of grabbing a second pair.

Vans pros. I will never be convicted otherwise. Super comfy and skate great.

I find the right sock is needed with these, so you get a snug fit as they tend to run a little loose (on me). But they're easily the best.

I’ve only done Vans pro and State keys. To me, Vans pros were WAY better, keys felt too thin on the soles for me. Keys also wore out super quickly.

Vans slip on pros are unbearable I have no idea how anyone who wears socks can even get their foot inside them and not feel like they're instantly suffocating. Wino G6 slip ons were a decent shoe but they fell apart pretty quickly and they use their older basic vulc outsole so the tread went bald after just a couple weeks. Lakai Owen VLKs are the best slip on, imo. It's like a vulc cup hybrid, they feel comfortable right from the start and the outsole lasts a long time.

I liked skating in some old Huf Dylan slip ons I had but they wore pretty quickly. The rubbing taping was peeling off after first sesh. I had owned em for a year previous to skating them so maybe they were just old and dusted.

Currently skating Vans slip on pros. I really like them, but pretty much lost my consistent heel flips. I've also just been kickflipping more so maybe its just me  :'(

But it is ugly to look down on when you can simply skate a shoe that doesn't have this problem.

The bottom sole is now being changed to the Desert Grip tread which is on the The Dickson, Pillar, Figgy Dose, etc. Will be released SP2 and should last longer.

Hypothetically any chance of adding the flick shield from the Dickson to the wino slip?

Also not trying to kiss ass but I’m stoked on what emerica is doing winos are great. Tried the veer cup cause I needed a cup cause I’m old and I’m back skating my dicksons and winos. So no complaints I just think it would be tight. Or the Americana cup on a wino slip.

I had 3 pair of Vans Slip on Pro (1 canvas, 2 suede) and I loved them. Copped a 4th pair (suede) and they fit completely different. They were too loose and the Pop Cush insole was taller than the Ulatra Cush which was already borderline too tall.  I couldn’t skate them after a week where as my other pairs lasted 5-6weeks.

I got a pair of janoski RM slip ons and so far I’m digging them.

Superglueing the stitching looks like shit?
If you don't do it on any and all of your skate shoes you're blowing it. Such an easy way to extend the life of your shoes.
