I just finished the Wii version of Okami, and I have to say I'm so glad I missed out on it the first time around when it was released on PS2. I can't even imagine how shitty it would be to use the Celestial paintbrush with the analog sticks...utterly amazing game though, the first adventure game I've ever played that comes close (and in some parts, surpasses) Zelda games. Speaking of which I've decided to play through Twilight Princess again, it's been a while...
Been rinsing Mega Man 9 of late too. So good how they've crafted a brand-new NES game with such high attention to detail...but god damn is it tough. Cyclone Man's stage with the rotating platforms has made me come close to launching my controller at the wall. Great fun though, better than Mega Man 2 imo (which was my favorite in the series)
Also been playing Gradius: Rebirth that came out on the Japanese WiiWare service recently...big big shooter fan and I ran out of patience waiting for Konami to announce a European release date, so I downloaded a torrent of it and installed it via the Homebrew Channel. Really enjoyable and you can tell how they've deliberately cut down down on the levels to make it as close to the first game as possible (as well as reusing music used in other installments in the series). Some of the scores on the leaderboad though...fuck. The guy at the top played it to about the 10th loop on a single credit
