Alltimers going out of business rumors
« on: December 04, 2023, 08:01:52 PM »
Ive heard so many rumors now but never any explanation does anyone know what the basis for them is. Would a board brand making rigatoni shaped boards, releasing videos pretty often, going on tours and collabing with brands like converse and vans be doing that if they were barley surviving? i feel like no but I dont really know how the business side of skating works

Alltimers is the Pizza skateboards for people that wear jorts.
We need Malto to release the pic of Biebel drunk in an elevator with his wiener hanging out.

Gonna say a rigatoni shaped board - which would be expensive to make and hard to sell to anyone - is the kind of thing you make when your brand is doing really well and you can afford to make products that you think are cool/funny, and it doesn't matter if they make you any money. I don't think they made those as a way to make a quick buck.

They were some of my favorite boards when they used BBS and had like 6 uniform color dyed plies. But now they use clutch and don't have Dustin Henry. They might as well be out of business to me.

FWIW, on a recent Gifted Hater SLS stream, he said Alltimers was over. He seems to be pretty keyed into the industry these days, so I imagine that's correct.
This is not my SOTY. I'm telling my kids there was no SOTY for 2021

General direction of the company was always pretty trash with its aged fratboy vibe. It may as well have been Skate Mental from NYC. Good riddance if true.

I can see back to wknd? Grant and alexis seem to have buried their hatchet and her good friend Trevor Thompson is still there. I can see Frog also. Random but Baker would be a good power move for both parties as much as it doesn't make sense. Real? At this point I would just want her somewhere that won't have another creep teammate as shes had pretty bad luck (Johan, Tyler Warren).

I would also like to see Brianna Delaney somewhere solid. Maybe Sci Fi since shes close with Arin.

If Alltimers is in-fact dead, I definitely second Alexis over to Baker. Would be cool to see her skate with Casper and Reynolds.

Brianna on Sci Fi would be nice, Krooked would look good too

One does not switch woodshops, from BBS to Clutch, just because they “really like” the Clutch shapes, or concave profile(s).
Seems more of a budgetary necessity than anything else & may lend some weight to the case that they’re done-zo.
Who’d have thought that your core market of skateboarders would rather not try to learn their newest tricks on a Lamborghini shaped deck?!?
RSVP to a real(ly short lived) one, if true.
