Cindy Lee - Diamond Jubilee

Lots of reviewers calling this AOTY, and I can’t say I disagree.  Releasing a 2hr long album only on YouTube and a geocities website is an interesting move, but it definitely adds to the mystique.

To summarize… Canadian indie rock artist Patrick Flegel, formerly of the group Women, has a drag queen alter ego named Cindy Lee who absolutely rips.  Shades of the Velvet Underground, T Rex, 50’s AM radio, and much more, combined with masterful guitar playing.. all result in a very chill, yet never boring, collection of songs that take you in all different directions.

Got to see them in Milwaukee last Friday, which I think could end up being the last US show they play.  Just incredible.  This was obvious from Women but Pat is an exceptional guitar player.  Would say go see them live but they just cancelled all the upcoming shows.
All you got is today, get out and skate.
