Some regular at the park taught me the secret to FS Crooks and I had so much success with them today. Same guy taught me the secret to BS Tailslides.
What's good for front crook? It's on my list to learn this year.
Wrote a little bit in the Skate Questions - Basic Ass Tricks that Piss You Off section.
Here is a good starting point

1) Think of it like a 50-50 on approach, close and parallel. I thought I was riding pretty parallel until the park vet told me I was still going in at a sharp angle. Too sharp and you're likely to stick, end up FS Noseslide or have problems holding the pinch.
2) Ollie high enough to ride on top of the ledge, back foot helping to balance out the pinch. I had to tell myself to lock onto the top of the ledge, rather than side on like a slide
3) Loose trucks help the pinch
4) Commit to the front truck and pressure in hard. I have no problems committing to a long BS crooked grind, carry that same commitment to your FS crooked grind
5) Coming off the end is similar to a BS crooked grind, just nudge off the edge
6) Practice getting the stall on a ledge helps with learning the weight distribution
