If I am right OP was talking solely about trick variety and not style or breaking boundaries.

100%. Although I think Wade’s style adds to it.

But yeah I was referring to overall bag of tricks documented. MJ, Suciu, Javier, Shane and a few others are up there.

But guys like Stevie, Kalis, Wenning, AVE, Carroll..Love them all but none of those guys have deep bags really. Especially not Stevie or AVE. Way of the mark with those picks.

I’m talking guys who you could basically name any trick, and they’d likely be able to do it.

I think you are sleeping on Ave with that comment. If he going to flip in, flip out like Shane, no. But, when you realize he can essentially 180 into any grind, from any stance, his bag is pretty damn deep.

Of guys still actively putting out footage there isn't much of an argument against that. But, when you add the qualifier of all-time it brings a ton of different factors into it. Hence, why I lean Henry,

I feel like there are different categories of ledge skating.
Obviously all ledge skating (should) involve some level of technical difficulty but even these may be split. For instance, Suciu and MJ (Boobby DeScheisser ot some extent) tend to do hard ledge tricks but with "basic" tricks (e.g., hardway in, alley oop, weird pop outs)

Then you have guys, where speed and the distance their sliding/ grinding is the more focal aspect: Busenitz, Nik Stain, AVE

Others go the "usual" flip in, flip out way: Shane, Wade, PJ Ladd, PRod, Mike Mo, also MJ

For me, Wade would be in top tier bracket of the flip in /flip out category, but less relevant for "surprising" tech or speed/distance

Lucas Puig is more enjoyable.  Very technical and overall more surprising/creative tricks on a ledge.


Lucas is the only one able to make a sw hardflip bs tailslide in a line and make it look good.

I’m not sure about ledge goat but he’s definitely up there with the manuals. He just holds them there exactly how he wants. Sometimes with the front wheels mm’s off the ground.

But Ronnie Creager in 20 shot or Trilogy (getting old can’t remember) is waaaaaayyy up there.

Wade is a top style guy. Top top. One of my most favoritest styles. Definitely in my top ten of people I’d like to watch ride a skateboard. I hadn’t thought about him as being ‘the best’, in the way that people speak about say…Shane or whomever. Wade reminds me more of a Gino, which I mean in the highest praise sort of way*.

* Gino…it’s all been so cliche, for quite some time, but he’s still the best to me.

Kalis is almost the source code. That’s why he gets brought up all the time as the greatest.

I personally consider him to be the greatest street style. He’s like a guy or a hall or a Carroll even a cardiel. That’s style.

Wade definitely is like kalis inspired. Took it further. Can’t even touch the style of kalis.

Pj I’d say is of the Penny blood line in style.

PJ is the most technically gifted skater WITH the most style. Shane is extremely technically gifted but I don't wanna watch him ride a skateboard.

I think Wade has had some of the best Balanced Nosegrinds, both stances, in the game, I would say second only to Wenning. There are probably kids out now who can do em bettter, but those guys innovated.
He also did one of the biggest switch pop shoves I have ever seen (over the couch)
There are certain things he was top tier in, you just gotta be a bit more specific.Very athletic combined with amazing timing.
