Dashawn is cool; I've skated with him multiple times at Tempe park, and he's really humble. At the same time, I hate everything about Alex Midler. Barely got through the episode.

Brink, when you're doing these do you ever think about how one of these could make someone more or less likable? Or are you conscious of it in the editing room? Because these two kids are getting a lot of hate it seems. For instance, personally, I'd say Dashawn seems like a super nice kid and kills it but didn't make for a particularly interesting weekend buzz. Hoffart on the other hand, I think his made a lot of people like him who didn't before.

I am in college in the middle of Texas and am around people 12+ years younger than me and 20+ years older than me every day. I can say without hesitation that the horrible accent is not a California accent. It's a stupid young kid accent. It has a lot to do with age and a little to do intelligence. The older people tend to have your standard Texas accent, but the younger kids generally sound like this kid and are absolutely unbearable to be around. Maybe they grow out of it eventually if they have to grow up (unlike Guy).

and to sexualhelon, brink has already talked about how he doesnt edit the episodes. His job is to ask questions and get the guests to open up a little when possible. Not baby them and hold their hands through answers so people will like them. To me, the whole point of the show is to showcase personalities and let the viewer form their own opinion on the subjects. In my opinion Alex Midler doesnt seem any different than most other kids around that age. As for Dashawn, he is also super young and an aspiring skateboarder, not an aspiring public speaker or english professor, so him saying "like" every other word shouldnt bother you fools. if you dont like it, become a teacher.
