God that was good. First PJ yesterday, then Gallant today. Apparently I have to watch Wonderful Horrible Life again (on VHS). Now I am sad though that he had a decent shose on DC and I really like having a shoe with Gallant's name on it.

No but he has financial requirements most 19 year olds from the flow team don't. Gallant has kids that need braces and shit and four people can't survive off of an extra deck or two in this month's box. I love Gallant and always have but at this point he's probably going to cost a company more than he'll make them.

after listening to the bunt i went back and watched most of his parts. he is crazy good. he does repeat a ton of tricks through his parts and loves skating ledges head on/over the top though... i blame that for his career decline

If he makes the right impact with the right company he could get supported. I think it's fair to say his wife is also working but you're right, a family can't live off a skate sponsor that isn't made up of Nike level sponsors.

I have a few friends that have 2 kids, and a lot of times childcare is so expensive it's cheaper to just not work than it is to pay for that shit. He said on the bunt he had money saved up and shit when the Expidition shit was going on, if he was smart with his money when he was getting Plan B and DC checks he coulda easily paid for a house and still have some money leftover. Who knows he may have been smart and made some investments. Add to that if his wife has a decent job they could be doing fine right now

That seems a distinct, if in the realm of professional skateboarding highly untypical, possibility... hope he's doing well, he deserves it.
