Interesting to see the colorway lineup in the style of the Teddy Santis (creative director) MIUSA collections ..

@rothdigga is there overlap and some insight from Teddy/MIUSA NB hq team? For brand consistency sake? Kind of saw it with the “N” on the 807 following the 990v6 oversized N too from a overall brand change
There is some overlap and there's for sure communication between the design departments of lifestyle, energy and what we do over here at Numeric so from time to time you'll see similar color pallets or design ideas that will filter into our product from them.  Not crazy overt but subtly it's nice to borrow and adapt from the big brand I think.

I tried a pair of 480s on yesterday and was disappointed sadly. The volume near the toe where the tongue attaches in pretty low. Pinched down on my foot kinda like Telfords and Kalis Vulcs. Don't need to change insoles due to the thick cupsole, but good luck with an aftermarket insole if that's your thing. Your mileage may vary.

Tried on a pair myself...Very nice wide round toe box. I feel they run large kinda like the 272 or 574 does.I liked them. I do wish the inside heel counter of the shoe was padded and material lined like the other skate models. I did notice in this tread that the upcoming Reynolds version is. Regardless, I still want a pair !!! They look super

Was excited for these but a big toe box is a deal breaker. Darn.

Seeing Reynolds skate them gets me excited. He clearly likes shoes with more protection.

Think I’ll go to Dick’s tomorrow to try on a pair of the normal ones. Just to make sure I like the fit. I’m forever jealous of y’all that live in cities with skate shops 😛

I think just a dedicated ankle cushion.   But yeah, a mid might be better, but it just feels like a “low” design or it just gets too 80s basketball busy

Heads up the non-skate ones fit quite a bit different than the skate ones. I had a couple pairs of the non-skate and grabbed a pair of the skate ones yesterday. The skate ones are more narrow and fitted to the foot. The regular ones were a little dumpy in the toe box both in fit and in look so they fixed that up to be better for skating. The skate ones are a little tight on my foot (I got thicc bois) but after a full day of wearing at work they already feel way better and my feet aren't fucked up. Surprisingly the sole is thicker on the skate ones than the regulars, but that FuelCell midsole is feeling goooooood.

Basically trying on the regular ones won't give you too much of an idea if you'll like the skate ones.

Wasn't too excited about the 480 by the looks of the very first retro colorways, but now that I saw a glimpse of the white w/ black sole... very nice.

I was super happy with the 440, still a bit on the fence about the 508 (they don't feel as nicely snug on my feet as the 440 but have a good sole/insole), wondering how the 480 will fit into the equation.

Just to be clear here, those are the retro basketball ones and not our Numeric ones.  The regular 480 hi does look pretty clunky to me too.

Honestly if the collar was slightly less puffy and the branding were downsized, then those highs would be perfect. They look like a cross between the 1010 and 440 highs, which I would personally love

The 808s are strange. Some days they feel great, other days they feel like bricks. They feel bad on cold mornings, but great when it’s hot. May let ‘em bake in my trunk for a few weeks 🥴

Anyway, I see some shops are posting the 480s online at midnight. Part of me wants to grab both colors. Which ones y’all getting?

I’ve had 10+ pairs of the 1010s but I really can’t get jiggy with the 808s. Maybe going half a size up would help, but they feel like bricks even after breaking them in from walking around and flexing the sole a ton. Like when I stand on my board, my feet get fatigued from trying to actually feel my deck or bending my foot within the shoe. Both the upper and sole are stiff as hell even for someone who exclusively skates cupsoles. I’ve had my pair for a few months now but haven’t tried skating them yet cuz I may sell or give them away while they still look fresh

Also those 480s are a robocop for me, I’ll catch y’all at the shop tomorrow

Grabbed the blue 480s from Bluetile. Holistic Skate has some online too right now (little after midnight EST). I bought a size 13 and now there are none on Bluetile. Grab a pair if you’re not near a skate shop 😎

Bought the orange dudes from 561. Both CWs are up but I had to put them in the search to get the shoes to show up. My closest local # dealer is LBSC which seems fitting but that's pretty far for me and they'd probably sell out of my size by the time I got out there.

Yeah, but there are eight semi-confirmed colorways. So it should be easy to get a pair. I know they’re still up on a few sites. I think NB# devotees like us are the only ones checking for ‘em, so this won’t be a Dunk situation.
