While sessioning the Rockridge BART skurbs in Oakland yesterday, I came across a (frequent/regular) chap who paused mid session to set up a new deck. When he returned w/ his new set up, it had an exquisitely rendered grip job featuring a triptych of die cut SLAP angels.
Def did NOT strike me as the sort of thing a rando (read: non SLAP user) would put the effort in on, if you know what I mean. We're talking a good hour of razor blade work, plus another to mount it. A proper labor of love, in other words.
Sooo... My question is: which one of you goons was it? If you out yourself, I'll tell you which one of the lurky-turkeys I was, in case I hadn't made it obvious enough.
Super fun session regardless. Thank you, fellow stranger, for the support, encouraging woops, etc.
I love that spot & the spontaneous since of community that erupts as soon as there are two or more people there.
Mucho shalomage, y'all.
