You know I thought these forums were a for skating not discussing fetishes
Haha really? How did he do that?
I’ve never understood the fascination with Evan Hecox. Especially the portraits... they look pretty uninspired and amateurish to me.
Powell Peralta skulls. They are fine for the reissues from the 80s, but come on.... the new shit is horrible.https://powell-peralta.com/skateboard-decks/pro-series

"There are no written rules for skateboarding except for the ones we make up. Like with Rick and Bobby, they have their vision of what is acceptable to them. I have always heard from a few sources that there are three or four things that are not supposed be in board graphics. Taboos, if you will. One – no skater's doing tricks in a graphic.True. Two – portraits. With a few exceptions I totally agree. That said I love the OG Chocolate portraits. Three – boards on boards.Dude, you're nailing it. I agree with all of them."

I know someone mentioned biting corporate graphics, but I'll point out cereal brands, in particular. I remember Shorty's doing it more than once, and a quick google search shows DGK, Primitive, and Baker have done the same.
On a side note, I liked Randozzi's exchange with Traffic's graphic artist Mike Stein recently on Theories, regarding portraits on decks:QuoteExpand Quote"There are no written rules for skateboarding except for the ones we make up.
