Is there anyone on here that's an adult or at the LEAST 18 that wears Fallen and likes them? I'm just wondering. I've always ridden Fallen since I started skating (except for a pair of J-Lay Vans my bro gave me because they ended up being too small for him). I have Emerica Reynolds 3s now and I absolutely LOVE them, of course. But Fallen seems to get the rep of being a kid's company. Wondering if there's any adult skaters here that wear Fallen, because I've never seen that haha. (The Fallen team doesn't count, obviously.)

Awesome shoes. They're durable, have great board feel, grip well and are comfy which is all I ask for in a shoe. And honestly, if someone is judging me by my shoes, that person is a kook to begin with.

Yeah, these Emericas don't have any more feel to them than any of the Fallen vulcs I've own. I had a pair of Trooper 5250s but they didn't have so much board feel because of the beefed up gel heel and full-length latex layering through the sole, for stairs and stuff.
Judgement-wise, that's pretty much how I feel. I just hate how the little annoying eleventeen year olds have ruined Fallen for the real guys out there.

I got a pair of Forte's yesterday since they were on sale. They're a little stiff and tight around the toes, but they aren't broken in yet.

ive had soo many pairs of fallens. they last, they look good, and they always skate great!
i want to send blackbox an email and see if i can get a free pair just for buying soo many like when you buy soo many slushies.
my problem with them is usually it doesnt do much for my heels, but the last billy marks pair i had was perfect all around.
people wont want to agree but adio also makes good shoes. you put them on and they are ready to skate but most of them look horrible these days.

Goddamn those things are tanks.
I couldn't skate the classic Fallens. WAY too bulky. The Trooper is the template I use to tell people how far of bulk I'll go with a shoe. No farther than the Trooper's design. I'm REALLY tempted to try a pair of SLs. But I dunno if they're vulc. It doesn't say they are on the Fallen site.

For the most part, I've seen that anyone under the age of sixteen has a pair of Fallen on. Also, the fat kids who shop at Hot Topic, especially Juggalos, like to buy them. (No hate, though. I used to like the "bulky" ones around 2004.)

It has nothing to do with marketing. It's just the fact that there's a Zumiez in most malls.

fallens are some of the best skate shoes. i got a pair of fortes that i fell too much in love with to skate though, so im going to get slash's shoe to make up for it and skate those. jamie knows what he's doing.

And THAT'S where they went wrong, I'm guessing... In the beginning, Jamie stated that he wanted to keep it a core company. Apparently funds were hard, as they tend to be now, and he had to sell out a tad... but not horribly or anything. It just kind of sucks that annoying little kids, juggalos, and people who don't skate wear them.
Only my fav. metal band Bodom can do that, for obvious reasons...
(No they're not my favorite metal band because of Cole... I actually play guitar and Alexi is my biggest guitar hero, next to Brendon Small and Randy Rhoads.)

Lucky. Definitely would rather live there. LOVE Park (even though it's a bust), countless more spots, way better skate parks, more skate shops, still on the East coast... I hate living in Maine. So much...

You'll see the occasional 13 - 16 year old wearing them around here but I NEVER have seen an adult skater in his 20's wear Fallen.
I'm 18 and skate 'em sometimes. Rival Lo-Fis, then a pair of snakeskin colorway Rippers, then the Trooper 5250s (Van Halen rules), then a a pair of half-used Rippers some chick gave me. Vans and Nike seem to be the most popular here as well. At least Vans is a good shoe. I think Nike is very overrated.
I've heard nothing but good things about the Forte for the most part, I'll have to give them and the Slash a try.

Canvas sucks, anyway. Any model of shoe with canvas side panels is a no-go for me. I try to look for all suede, personally.

not sure if they really have the little kid rep everywhere that some people said they did.
i found the rising sun lo's and the chris cole rippers excellent shoes to skate in, broke in quick, good board feel and protection.
and plus they lasted longer than any pair of emericas ive ever had.
im comparing them to emericas cos ive found them to feel like similar shoes, maybe its just the models i had tho

Yeah, I really did like the Rippers I had, a lot. Pretty solid in every aspect.
I've only owned these Reynolds 3s, but they have better sole construction, but that's about it. And they're durable as fuck, too, but the soles wear out just as fast as the Rips.

^I thought Vans was the only good brand they carried, but the last time I looked at a catalog was about three years ago at a dentist's. They also have the Converse Black Flag line, as well as Dekline, including the collaboration with TM...I wonder if Ed knows about it.

weird, was skating these herman's today (now the sole is totally fucked) so my mate is giving me a pair of those reynolds 3's in red n black to skate in tomorrow, are they decent?

The guy working there asked if i skate. insert "heres your sign" joke. I didnt end up buying them either.
But back on topic, i had a pair of the original rivals with the airbag and strap. Really good shoe but never got around to trying any others. The Fortes always look good, heard great things about the chiefs, and i still regret not getting some scouts:

Yeah that always intrigued me in how they do their ads. Makes it seem more authentic, if that makes any sense.
I had the Lo-Fi Rivals, too. They were my first Fallens. Not so much on the board feel side, but definitely protected my feet for sure.
Never tried the Chiefs, Fortes, or Scouts.
Osiris is fucking lame now for putting out all those weird spaceboot looking neon shoes, especially in Journeys and Zumiez.

you know what as far as im concerned those are just as good as any other brand out there right now... its just something about the whole image of the company that i could never get into. just like circa. i remember when i was younger i was into basically every skate company... but for some reason when circa came out i immediately dismissed them as wack shoes cause of all the weird camo gear adn shit. and i am the biggest muska fan ever. i dont know certain companies used to do it for me, i just like the generic brands now because i feel like im not paying for an image or label or whatever.

Those weird Osiris neon UGGs are pretty popular. Pretty much any dude on campus without Jordans has a pair of those. But, aren't they BMX shoes or some shit?

I've always heard opposite of their shoe durability. Oh well.

11:20 P.M. here, EST.
Yeah it wasn't too bad. I've tweaked it the same way in the same spot for like the 3rd time in 3 months and it's getting annoying. My fault though, not properly landing. The first night I couldn't walk without limping but the next day was good with some ice and heat. But I still don't wanna accidentally re-injure it this early in its recovery. It's funny too cause I'm totally not one of those people that are douchebags about their shoes and don't tie them tight and try to look all fresh and chill and ends up breaking an ankle. I tied them properly.

Yeah it wasn't too bad. I've tweaked it the same way in the same spot for like the 3rd time in 3 months and it's getting annoying. My fault though, not properly landing. The first night I couldn't walk without limping but the next day was good with some ice and heat. But I still don't wanna accidentally re-injure it this early in its recovery. It's funny too cause I'm totally not one of those people that are douchebags about their shoes and don't tie them tight and try to look all fresh and chill and ends up breaking an ankle. I tied them properly.
i know how it is man. i roll my ankles a lot. ive been injured this whole year pretty much just from spraining my ankles every month. i guess i have some shitty luck or somethin

Yeah but on the bright side, it actually strengthens the muscles and tendons over time, from the stretching and use. Down the road, it might actually be harder to sprain. I've heard of this happening before.

Seems to be the most liked shoe so far that Fallen has, here on Slap. I'll probably give them a try, then. Definitely mids though, the low version looks too low.

Got a pair of Fortes last week, and I like them. Didnt need to break them in at all. And for the material they are, im surprised they are holding up. But they are really low and I fuck up my ankle every time I go to the skatepark.

I prefer Slash's shoe, but the Forte is usually $45 or $55, instead of $60ish.
