Seriously. Thankfully that was good enough that it barely didn’t ruin it. When did goofy ass facial expressions and shoes become the primary composition elements to a skateboard shot? So dumb…literally on every single fucking long lens shot (good or bad, how about a little variation?). Filmer wrecked this thing…again. This shit can’t end soon enough.

I agree with all of the above. Hardy backtail shove got an audible "wow," out of me along with so many other tricks. I'll always be impressed by straight up wallrides, no bump or lip to them. I can't wrap my head around them.
I'd definitely love to see Spanly get SOTY and I'm sure the rest of the skate community would too.
Imagine if he got SOTY and didn't bring T Funk on the trip.

I really liked this. Loved his shit I love segment in the last thrasher. As a person who overdoes wallrides and has a 10 month old daughter, I’m rooting for him. One of the first times she clapped I had the horse part on while she was napping on me and just woke up half way through it. That could just be because his daughter is in the b role. She really gets excited when we watch blues clues and it’s mail time because she knows there’s going to be other kids so she claps until the mail opens and then waves the entire time at the kids. Kids rule they’re so sweet

Yes I believe he's her ex with bulimia that she mentioned in an interview. Maybe not? This was rad, they both got sober and thriving today. Great song and part.

Spanky is definitely in my top five fav skaters. Was pumped to find out about this part. Don’t love the below waist filming, pretty much never do, but still was able to enjoy this part.
How he was able to wall ride 180 slash grind back to regs that bank to wall thing (what do you even call that trick?). Looked like dude was surfing. Hella good part. Enjoyed the song too

After those two tricks I was thinking damn next part he’s gonna flip out . Which made me happy realizing this dude isn’t just skating this well nearing forty but progressing . That’s sick. Spanly for SOTY.

kickflip over the bush is a thing of beauty. Great part; love the perfect after hammer wallride and fs flip at the end.

I never really been into his skating but this year he completely changed my opinion.
First the horses part, which is by far my fav part of the year (and one of the few memorable ones) and now this. Saw it was a part for a truck company and kinda got bummed in advance, didnt expect a legitly edited full-part. You can see he really want to put out a solid part with this. Not just some footage from 5 different filmers and horrible rendering, no cheap editing to a song without putting much tought to it. Also love how he finds these spots and uses his (somewhat limited) bag of tricks on them. The switch slappy crook halfcab popover is a perfect example of this.

His trick selection is just so cool. At 3:26 he has the cleanest 360 flip into backside flip ever. Two tricks he barely shows off but everyone else does frequently. Kind of a ‘look I can do that too’ moment for me.

The more I rewatch his parts this year, he’s made a great case for SOTY. Doesn’t go the biggest but he is clean and oozes style. He’s making an impact with his full outage but also with the brands that suppprt him. Multiple pro shoes out this year and runs bakers are direction. Can’t deny his impact this year.
