had the same setup about a year ago, hated it cause it was heavy and a bitch to flip. let us know how it goes
[close]

it is DEFINITELY THAT. and I noticed the wheelbase change big time. So weird, when I was skating before we barely thought about WB, I mean no one talked about it...at 44 and just returning to skating, I noticed this thing is definitely sluggish pushing around....but...

....in the bowl I skated yesterday and on my 2' mini, holy shit! so stable and smooth, like a cadillac! I am skating a 5" wood bowl today, really interested to see how it gets through the tighter pocket and corner.

My friend told me to get the board because "youre 44 and dont need to ride a teenagers set up" and I kind of think hes right. I just need to ollie up and over stuff semi-consistently right now (until I can get back on my flat bar consistently) skate some curbs, and keep working on my park/tranny skating. There are no 360 flips or varial heels in my immediate future. this board might be a keeper.

cracked my fa 8.5 yesterday on an nollie varial heel attempt. broke two of their decks during covid times, either quality has dipped or i got fat :-\

my choices were to get the same shape or size up a bit. the only 8.75 my shop had in was this deck. bit the bullet even though the 13.75 wb and 31.65 length was screaming at me no. just gonna keep positive and if it doesnt work out, i have a fun cruiser and learned my limits on deck shortness. my previous shape will always be around.

5boro 8.75 shred shape
5.2 lo hollows w/ flat bottom washers and riptides
boardycakes benchwarmers 48.5mm 99a
super swiss 6
bronze allen
mob which ive liked with cupsoles
af1/jordan 1 lows shoe rotation
Looks like an interesting setup.
Idk how you guys can rotate shoes.

I've been riding the same Passport 8.38 for the last few decks but can't get them atm, anyone know of a similar shape - think it's like 14.25 WB and less than 31.75 maybe?
I'm usually not a crazy dimensions guy but I like how they skate and know I don't like when decks feel too long (assuming thats as much the WB as well as actual length)

Girl Andrew Brophy 8.25
Thunder Hollow Lights 148
Spitfire Conicals F4 99 52mm
Bones Reds
7/8 bolts

Never ridden Girl before and to be honest I only bought it for the dimensions
Noticeably heavier feeling the the BBS Doomsayer, almost DSM like. Looks to have a mellow concave with steep kicks as well and lotsss of fingers of flat.

Guessing it's clutch because the description they used is pretty much copy/pasted from their website. Also I don't see shortys saying they're made in the USA (ASF/clutch is Mexico and I think I remember hearing they have another woodshop in South or Central America as well) but people will sometimes assume that because Clutch is US based and say they use 100% American maple that theyre pressing the boards here too. Did it have the clutch number/letter code on the top between the front truck holes? Prime sometimes stamps their too but they do back truck holes I think.

Clutch wood is usually good, but some of the stock popsicle shapes have a longer wb and/or steeper tail than I'd prefer. The O shape is fucking great though and I've heard they have a nice flat mold too but I've never come across one.

That's great info and I think you're right regarding where they're pressed.  I'm not sure where I got the Made in USA from.  It did have a random serial number between the front truck holes.

The WB is a pretty standard 14.5. Tail kick is a medium but the nose is steeper than the tail

Can anybody confirm that it really has a 14.125wb? I've wanted to try a 8.5 pop with that wheelbase but I've only ever seen one Sour deck with similar dims.
