I have not skated, but it is the same Alien/Habitat shapes. Really large, full, squared off kicks that are not as steep as an FA necessarily. It looks a lot like the Manderson 8.38, but again is less steep.

Seconded, fuller kicks that aren't comically square and steep like FA / Hockey.

8.25 x 32.125 x 14.25 are some nice dimensions

How to do flip into board or lipslides on rails and not break the deck?!

Seriously. I only do this now with decks thah are done anyway, cause almost everytime I do such tricks my board cracks or breaks completely.

And I’m not heavy. About 75 kg.

Do polar jeans shrink if you dry them?

Backstory, I haven't used a dryer in 19 years, just have a Landry line/horse, but I need to wash them and wanna wear them tomorrow night.

Just like you do it without the flip. Don't jump way higher than the rail and put it down as softly as possible.
The options are flipping just as high as the rail and pretty much catching and landing on the rail at the same time, or catching the flip on the way up, at which point it's just like without the flip and you extent your legs slowly towards the rail, bending your knees to soften the impact.

I can't remember one in a pro video, but we used to do similar tricks at a slow pace on our little shitty skatepark ledge and my buddy busted them out constantly. It became his homie video dork trick. He claimed it wasn't hard but epicly bunted any time we called him out to do the "easy trick" at a spot. We literally took the fucking train to SF so he could do it at Pier 7 and he sat there and kept saying it was too windy.

I think he's been skating the DC Striker lately. It's a budget shoe from DC Stan Smithesque cup sole.

A few people had them, but the question first is are they the BBS or PS Stix wood you are looking at?  Different boards came on different wood.

I’m not even sure…I’m thinking about buying one from the Frank Dorrey series.

A friend of mine told me the shape is akin to FA so I’m assuming it’s steep.

If there’s any more detail I’d be glad to find out. I’ll peep the link too!

Mine has steep kicks and concave, essentially identical to FA/Hockey. I bought one of the $35 boards they did in the first drop.

This one was for sure BBS wood 100% certain. Defs steep n full kicks just like FAs n Hockeys. Maybe not quite as extreme but hard to say since I haven't skated a square/steep FA hockey in a while but for sure noticeably steeper than all the other boards I skate

Thank you! Yeah I love the graphic - it’s the orange and blue Dorrey - but I don’t mess with steep kicks or concave these days. Appreciate the clarification

Wish em the best it's gotta be hard to make money as a skateboarder in Japan but I don't know how all these companies make enough money to be worth the bother. Japan has its own teams for all the brands the rest of the world has but also gravis, ASICS, Areth, possessed, and now puma. How much space is on a shoe wall? (Looking at pictures of Japanese shops it's not very much space at all)

How do the Converse Fastbreak Pros feel? Are they thick/stiff or thin/vulc like? I’ve been skating Nb 1010s lately and like them, just got some Nb 440s and hate how thin they feel.

thin vulc, closer to a 440 than a 1010. broken in right out of the box etc

Eh they're for sure narrower than a 440 and the insole is pretty thick. I found the forefoot was flexible, but didn't have as much board feel. The upper didn't feel as thin/flexy, but kinda mushy/soft. Less support up there than a Half Cab or Blazer let's say, but more than a low. I haven't found NB shoe that felt like them, but they reminded me of what a cupsole Blazer might be. Seemed like a step down as a shoe, but cool if you don't have wide fit and want the aesthetics. I was a bit sketched out by all the stories about bad durability and am selling my size 9.5 Fastbreak Pros.

Any gun people on here, How grippy is the pattern on handle?
I'm imagining a skateboard but instead of needing griptape the top ply is textured for grip. Guess it would take forever to do this to a bunch of boards tho

Not a gun person, but a laser person, and there's no way that's grippy enough for skating.

At best that pattern helps keep grip with sweaty hands. It doesn't have enough traction otherwise. Some firearm brands actually sell what's essentially specialized griptape for grips (ie TALON Grips).

I’ve been skating decks about 31.75 to 32.25 for the last few years.  I got an uma and it’s 32.8 long with a 7.4 nose and 7” tail.  How is the length and nose  tail gonna affect me? I keep putting off setting it up but it’s all I got left. I been skating either antihero 8.75 misregister decks or the 8.6-8.8 creature stumps or Santa Cruz boats or whatever they’re called

Anybody got a useful method for flattening out slightly bent shields? I removed a few for cleaning and was a little too hasty.

The  axle end of a skate tool or socket set works great on hard surfaces to flatten shields.

Keep the shield metal up and just push down in a gentle but firm circular motion round to flatten them out.

A few I have done like this turned out nicely and couldn't tell the difference.

I talk too much about skateboards.  Sorry.
