Title: Who was at the 1989 Energy's Dance UK Rave?

Nothing fascinating in this thread related to the actual act of skateboarding and this is definitely a departure from the norm, but I spotted someone rocking a Thrasher hoody way back in the day and figured, why not see if anyone has any insight as to whom it could be?

Guesses are welcome. I'll start the conspiracy and throw out Tom Penny.

Wow there is a slight resemblance there though I can't imagine Tom moving that quickly haha

I dug this era, nice sounding techno and good pills too. Not into that scene anymore, the big modern era "raves" look like big douche fests.

Nah, Tom is way too young to be at this - he would have been 12. Mouly used to go to raves and would have been around 15, but it's deffo not him.

it wasn’t very common for skaters to go to raves in 1989. more likely would see them at a hardcore show. he was probably there for the drugs or girls or just someone with a thrasher sweatshirt.

after another look at that still, he looks younger than everyone, like a kid who snuck in. maybe try asking over at middle age shred. a bunch of british dudes post there and they’re in the right age range.

Looks like a grebo...they were into skate wear and their music had electronica elements. Think Jesus Jones or Pop Will Eat Itself...
