Dude is legit. Ted Cruz is a weird abomination.
Vote Beto and Make America Skate Again.
-
almost makes me want to finally register to vote. uh actually nvm.
-
looks like that wasn't his first time. that's rad. i live in his district and definitely prefer voting for him over ted cruz but that's a pretty low bar.
-

You should still register to vote.

He surprisingly didn't look awkward riding that board.

He's pandering but I'm going to allow this because fuck Rafael "Ted" Cruz.
-
acceptable pandering in my book. please go vote, especially if you live in texas. fuck ted cruz
-
Tic tac game is on point, but the Stacy Peralta imitation style is a little circumspect.
-
I wonder who the highest-ranking government official to have ever kickflipped is
I bet Canada's Justin Trudeau has kickflipped at least once

Nah, and at least he's not being staked by money from everywhere other than Texas! Beto's getting more cash from CA than he is from his own state, which should tell you something, but I'm sure it'll be overlooked.
I'll take a constitutionalist any day over a "free shit" kind of guy, even if I'm not much of a Ted fan. But, that's just me.

“As of that date [March 9, 2018], 49.99% of O'Rourke's donations came from inside of Texas with the remainder from outside the state. That's a healthy split that suggests O'Rourke is not simply a creation of national Democrats but has actual, on-the-ground support among Texans.” -CNN
Two seconds of google and you are proven to be an idiot. Unless search engines are part of that “free shit” you hate

So quick to result to calling him an idiot when even the CNN breakdown you provided shows that < 50% of his contributions are coming from out of state.
Mostly naive, true believer Dems who who hate Cruz.
The best thing about Ted Cruz is how much he tilts CNN lovers.

50.01% is out of state. i guess that's technically over half if you're a pedantic twat. but in context, the article says that 49.99% means Beto has tons of support from Texans. ted cruz gets money from pacs, lobbyists, gop etc. its not like his campaign is bolstered by honest, salt of the earth texans.

Ted Cruz takes a higher percentage of out of state contributions than O'Rourke as of last month.
Guys, it's called fucking Google. you can look shit up before sounding stupid
"Cruz, who established a national fundraising base in his 2016 White House bid, has relied on out-of-state contributors for some $2.5 million — or nearly half of the $5.1 million in itemized personal contributions to his re-election campaign as of the end of March.
O’Rourke, who has become something of a cause célèbre among Democrats nationally, saw nearly $2.3 million in out-of-state contributions — a little less than a third of his total $7.7 million cash haul for the same period, according to a Chronicle review of federal campaign reports."

Beto's a fucking kook.
Not voting for Beto is basically saying you're down with anti-abortion, anti-immigration, global warming, the 1%, and putting people in jail for weed. You're a fucking kook.
I lived in Austin for the better part of the last decade, Beto came around a couple of the places I worked to campaign and the dude is a G. Definitely get out and register to vote and go do that shit. It's dumb easy: cruise into city hall, punch the buttons, get your sticker and peace.

Ted can't skate and his dad killed JFK.
-
someone post the gif of cruz trying to kiss his daughter when he was campaigning for president. please and thank you.

Beto's clip was switch
-
Pros:
Played in a punk band in the 80's (Foss)
Skated/ Skates(?)
Jammed onstage with Willie Nelson
Progressive
Nice Haircut
Porbably smells like I imagine Pierce Brosnon would smell
not Ted Cruz
Cons:
Got arrested in the 80's for DUI attempted forcible entry and burgulary
Your girl thinks he's cuter than you are
-
Cons:
Got arrested in the 80's for DUI attempted forcible entry and burgulary
Just to clarify the forcible entry / burglary charge. He crawled under a fence at the college he was attending, the University of Texas El Paso, and set off an alarm. The charges were dropped.
He owned up to the DUI and said: "I drove under the influence of alcohol. There’s no justifying that."
Texas GOP really clawing at the bits here.

I am aware this is an unpopular opinion, but fuck it.
I'll be shocked if this Beta dude can defeat Lion Ted. Call me crazy but riding a penny board doesn't impress me in a senatorial bid...
I'd rather have our senator as someone who can get along with the President and continue the policies we have been working towards.
Also-- for anyone who lives in Texas, I can almost guarantee you have received borderline grey area illegal text message contact from the Beto O'Rourke team.

Yes, of course. Ted Cruz, the collection of nasal bacteria that learned to walk, is definitely a stand-up fella who works well with others.

I can see that I'm being purposely misinterpreted, but there have been a number of government shutdowns in recent years. You are referring to one that was under a different POTUS. Ted Cruz is a true conservative, and overspending is a real issue. Texas will remain red, don't worry.

Funny when republicans try to go back to overspending and budget issues after they pushed through a tax cut that will explode the deficit

Yes that is a very funny thing. Almost like it is a total bullshit smokescreen.
There have been 2 government shutdowns in this century. One in 2013, which Ted Cruz is often sited as being responsible for, and then again in 2018.
We can disagree on what all of this means but don't just say things that simply aren't true. We all have google here.

And good point, it isn't a negative by default.

You clearly have not looked into his policies. Riding a board is just a bonus to the fact that he's an intelligent progressive candidate that's not repeating the same rhetoric or planning to roll out the same bigoted policies that have prevalent in Texas politics forever. Is there still a relatively slim chance a young progressive liberal will win Texas over? Yes, but that doesn't mean the voters shouldn't try.
No I have never received a text message from the Beto O'Rourke team. Nor has anyone I know.
-
Must be really out of the loop because I have no idea who this is, and im not even entirely sure I know what penny boards are. Are they those little cruiser boards they sell in mall shops ?

Just to clarify - the same president that nicknamed him "Lyin' Ted," said Ted's Dad was part of the JFK assassination, repeatedly insulted Ted's wife's appearance, and claimed Ted was a fake Christian among other things?
Clearly the president greatly respects and values Cruz and his work.

Elections are brutal, there have always been personal attacks on the other nominees and the other party's nominee, but now it will be more than ever.
