I watched Tyshawn skate in person at the TF in NYC, and the dude is amazing. His pop is next level and he can do every trick. The dude is a natural athlete. I could see him excelling at any sport he got into. I’d be psyched to see him get SOTY. Dudes like Zion and Jaime Foy are super talented, but for some reason, they don’t make me want to skate.

So you were clicking on 'Really Sorry official thread' or 'New Gino footage (2 tricks)' and you would see pictures of this deformed girl who was trying to make the best of her life.
Anyway, things got a bit heated in the topic where I asked the mods to ban him.
Now everything is cool, and another mod later offered to reset it to 0 but by then I liked the -65K. 8)

Did I talk about GX1000 ? Because it's quite comparable. It's quite raw, close to skateboarding roots. Maybe the actual difference is that GX1000 knocks out the securtiy back lipping, while TJ only talks and air jabs wich feels fake, staged, played. You can't deny a dude back lipping making the security dude do a triple backflip is golden footage, that HAS to be included. Fisheye shots of TJ throwing punches in previous Supreme edit for example ARE ONLY HERE FOR COMMUNICATION PURPOSE ONLY.
On the other end, if we are talking about the switch bs heel and switch tre , it was so fucked up that he could stayed focus on such massive tricks while having to deal with security (In a cocky way sure, but I mean security ain't the nicest persons you have to deal with).
In the end, I was only comparing TJ and Evan smith which both were both strong contender, only pointing out that TJ fits the 15-25 (you know, the age of the majority of skateboarders) 2018 skater needs a lot more. Because he looks cool, but there is nothing bad with that. Just in term of pure skating maybe Evan smith was a bit more diverse, All terrain and "fun" looking guy.
And never said he was a bad guy, or that was bad. Just looks kind of cocky, and from what I witnessed in Paris, he definetly ain't the nicest human, sorry to dissapoint. But he is a up there in skate skill n that blessed part was fucked.

Sometimes when he’s on the board in the zone he can seem cocky I guess but it doesn’t seem that bad to me, whatever he can back it up. Just seems like he’s hype to get tricks and is having fun.

I dunno, it seems forced and as I said before trying to appeal to "200$ a t-shirt" kids rather than at skaters.

If Element was raking like Supreme I think Even would have won. Thrasher has their new retail store in the 'Loin and Supreme is gonna open a store on Market Street in SF. Brands need to build the hype to sell some units. It feels to me like a partnership is forming between Thrasher and Supreme.

But Tyshawn definetly had a great part in a Blessed, and isn't even at his peak (unless he goes Kevin Bradley style, from skating to partying haha). To me, in the "SOTY" finals, it was either Evan, Oski or him... Sure a bussiness decision, but it's cool to see him getting the title. And NYC probably was city of the year, some much happened/came out of there this year. (SF coming close...)

Well, I cannot remember Johnny Thunders Greco being on anything else than skate sponsors, maybe I'm wrong.
They were biting fashion because it made them stand out from everyone else.
Supreme dudes are trying to be accepted into the fashion world, which in my eyes is different.
My only consideration is that the since there were more than one possible SOTY like the last 2/3 years, this has become more of a political statement.
Not that TJ isn't good, boy's good, but that it was more about where thrasher wanted to market and TJ is the right man at the right place.
Also, I was wondering if he is the first black soty? That's a statement of its own, especially after the 1010 bullshit.
