Title: In Search of Skateboard Manufacturer / Woodshop for Small Projects
Post by: Allez_Jambon on December 12, 2018, 02:16:19 PM
I've created a few decks with a friend to commemorate another friend who has passed. I'm looking around to get these made and I'm having trouble coming up with options for production.

I'm talking with Chapman and have everything set to produce, however we need to get a EID/LLC/etc. because they only do wholesale B2B. I was planning on hitting the minimum requirement but this is something else. My partner in this has no issue with getting the EID/LLC/Tax ID but I'm unsure how often we'll be able to run projects. We hope to, but right now it sort of seems funny to set up something for a one time project. Most likely it's probably going to be worth it.

I've used Boardpusher for work (made a congrats on 5 years at the office) and it wasn't pretty. I think the board was just inkjet produced on generic Chinese wood. Yuck.

Anybody have experience with this?

They have said they will print anything you send them, so go for it.

I don't know how many boards you want but Point Distribution has a 25 deck minimum. Good quality for sure. I've exclusively been skating their decks since 2012. Also, no resale license or documents needed.

Can vouch for this, I did a run through them back in 2012 and were some of the best boards we ever got, they even let us use our custom 8.8" shape which I think they actually continued on using as it was solid shape for a steep concave Popsicle

Oh man i was at a park a couple towns over and an older guy had one of those custom ccs boards. The picture on it was a selfie of him with sunglasses on and a flannel shirt on smoking, And i'll be damned if he wasn't sitting there on that bench wearing the same shirt, sunglasses and smoking, with the board propped up next to him.
I tried to sneak a picture but couldn't get it..
