I don’t understand how that last part makes him hateable? The Scientology, revive, Braille, vlog part are instantly hateable and gross. But selling completes with tutorial videos. I feel bad for you that you never grew up with those Tony Hawk trick tip videos with Koston and Mike V. The Transworld trick tip video and that trick tip video were easily the best ones when I started skating. Then when YouTube came, everyone and their mother started fucking making trick tip videos. Look him up on YouTube. He has at least one video for sure promoting Scientology. And in it he states the day he became a Scientologist, he started landing all his tricks better and he was instantly a better skater because of it. Haha.
The way he skates is a reason. That's why we don't like him. This is skateboarding.
We judge people on their skating first, and then their character next. If they have good character, they get a pass. If they're shitty, like in the case of this dude, then it's unanimous hate.
When I first learned about Braille I thought it was a great concept. I'm a father of three and my youngest is interested in skateboarding. So the thought of people actually being helpful was appealing. Unlike how it was for me as a youngen when you'd get laughed at because you had a hard time doing an Ollie.
At first glance it seems like they are trying to promote "skateboarding for everyone". But after you look deeper into it, it's a business. Their ultimate goal is to make money. Their "You make it, we skate it" was interesting for about two videos. Then they started skating flat screen's and it was dumb. They make shit content for the sake of views, because kids allow themselves to be force fed nonsense. For some reason, being dumb these days is a good thing.
If they were a completely not-for-profit entity, I'd stand behind them no matter what others say.

I'm not a fan because he wants to involve religion in skateboarding, he wants to make skateboarding more popular and his skateboarding bores me. Also I wouldn't classify his wife as "hot" she's a Cali 6 at best, maybe stretching it for a PACNW 7 or a Philly 8.
