I believe it’s their position in the press, number one being at the top of the press meaning a deeper concave and steeper kicks for that deck.
I am not fully sure of how many numbers there are though and what position each number signifies and what the effects of that position are though.
Anyone know them all?

I dont think there's all that much variation of shape from different positions, maybe for people that are ocd about it

Ohh ok, so there are only two numbers?
I saw I’s and IV’s in the shop today and thought there might be II’s, III’s and all also. Good to know.
Thanks!
Anyone know if any other companies are having their boards differentiated like this?

There’s 2’s and 3’s, also. (II & III)
Lower the number, steeper the concave.

I had a really steep antihero that I loved. I rode that board for 3 months straight. Best board ever...

Deluxe should give Ben boards for life. I started buying deluxe decks again because of his reviews. I’ve heard kids at the park taking fingers of flat as well.
Ben is awesome

He really is. I use to spend so long looking at shapes at the shop before I would buy but I did not have a system to determine what I liked. Now I know exactly the length I like, WB, size of tail and nose, etc. I use the tape measurer at the shop. Younger me would have worried about looking dorky but fuck that I know what I like. I have fully embraced my inner skate nerd.

When I figured this out it kind of screwed me. Now If I see a IV on a shape I like I am hesitant to grab it because of how flat the tails are. the 2 or 3 are almost the same.
Won't catch me buying a 1.
