Hey guys,
I snapped a second deck in two months and am now looking at PP Flight decks. I've seen a review on youtube but since I live in the middle of bumfuck nowhere, the only flight decks available are from an online store focused mainly on snowboards. So I'm quite worried the deck will be dry as fuck and snap on me much sooner anyway. Do you think dryness could be a problem when it comes to these decks?

If you can deal with the harsh concaves and kicktails there prolly good. Andy Anderson seems to be able to skate them.

Which shape? The street ones that are 8.5 or under are using the K20 concave which is pretty flat (18 degree). If it's a bigger board using the K15 then they are steeper (22 degree nose, 21 degree tail). They also make K21 concave flight decks which are 18 nose, 19 tail.

To give those angles context, Dwindle calls 21 degrees "mellow" and 22.58 their "steep"

I have 2, a 8.75 popsicle and a 9.12 Bowl.
The bowl is definitely what you’ve heard, steep concave and tail, but I like it.
The popsicle is a fair bit mellower, but still perhaps a bit more concave and kick than other companies. I’m not a popsicle guy, but I really like mine.
I’m not a particularly hard skater, and I’ve had both for a year and they are both going strong. The only issue has been razortail on the popsicle, so every once in a while I sandpaper it down on some rough concrete and it’s fine.
I live in a fairly humid area, but it hasn’t gotten nearly as soggy as a traditional board, and it’s pop is fine after a year.
I don’t think dryness will be an issue at all, they seem pretty pickled in glues and other strengthening agents.
I’m sold on them, I’ve gotten another flight popsicle for when I somehow finish this one. I might have to regrip it first.

I don't think the boards were excessively steep though. I don't think you'll break one of these, also Santa Cruz has something they are coming out with too. Only bad thing about these boards is they are thinner so they razor fast.

Santa Cruz VX boards came out yesterday.

Yes I’m interested in trying those. The problem is that neither the Flight Decks or the Santa Cruz VX decks don’t come in 8.3, so I’m waiting for them to release one of that size preferably VX since I’ve had some flight decks and they didn’t last more than a month due to chipping

He usually rides 8.25 so I’m guessing it was that. Maybe it was the starting point of the kicks, the shape / length or a combination, but it was a weird looking board, and the kicks felt very steep. He lost blunts on transition on it, and got them back as soon as he went back to skating a Girl.
