Is it just the forward momentum that divides the impact into multiple parts and diminishes potential injury i.e. the roll or bounce after the bail

I skated there for a few hours like 15 years ago. It was a fun chill spot for us that didn’t have that. Just chilling in the shade skating flatground and some small stair sets

also i like t-funk's style, he does different tricks than most cool skaters. and if you go that fast and gnarly at 5" tall, you'll better keep your defense up not to pulverize yourself on impact.

By the time you are at that level you already know how to fall, youre part tank & when shit goes completely to shit, your body has become so durable it can handle impacts that would probably paralyse someone who spent their life on a couch.
if a normal person fell down like 9-10 stairs its a story the would tell for years. but im sure most skaters at one point or another have jumped a 10 & taken a slam like its nothing, never mentoned again

I realized that skating had taught me how to fall one day when I was skating with I think my SLR or maybe an old camcorder. I hit a pebble with the camera in my hand and as I was about to crush it, I pulled it into my chest and twisted to take the fall on my body. I was amazed that I did it so quick. That shit still pays off and if you are in any decent shape I think it’s life long skating or not.
Coming back to skating I forget how much you fall and I always amaze myself that I’m walking away sometimes. I guess when you’re younger you are used to running around getting hurt. But recently I was skating a curb and just stuck, feet in the air and straight to my shoulder. I wasn’t hurt but I was seeing stars.
