ScumCo deep dish.

The Full Concave / Steep kick from Dwindle is really nice, for sure one, if not the steep and deep kingpin out there (not sure if Deepdish is a regular mold at Scumco these days).
The problem with Diwndle is the sizing they choose to put the full/steep on. I dropped down to an 8.125 Blind Full shape Steep/full lconcave and tried it out...was great, can never seem to find an 8.25" full shape, full concave/steep...or I'd ride them exclusively.
Looking at the current Fall drop it appears that some Blind decks are Full concave and the entire Darkstar line-up is as well (but no full shapes). Team preference maybe?

Thanks for the Dwindle reference, honestly I don't think I've owned any Dwindle products in my life. I'm going to pick out a Ben Raemers deck now.

politic decks are pretty steep, but scumco deep dish is deep deep.

I second this. Creature is always pretty steep. Nav's Skeleton Key boards take it even further.
-
I'm riding a scumco philly deep dish at the moment and it's proper deep and lovely. What's really nice is the kick starts right at the bolts. Also got a lovenskate Alex Hallford which is on a penneswood deep concave but the pressed wheelbase is about an inch longer. Seems penneswood have more than one deep press. They are very nice though. Throw back to the old deathbox, h street and g&s concaves 8)

I wonder when convex decks are going to be the hottest thing?

Bacon feel crazy. They are so steep, feels like skating tip toed

Neil is pretty much there with his Polarizer set-ups.
-
Is there a reason besides personal preference that you want a deck with lots of concave?
-
I wonder when convex decks are going to be the hottest thing?
I heard they are the only option in Australia
-
You could eat cereal out of the scumco deep dish

This is true. They really help with underflips.

Alva. Shit. They had concave in their tails. Horrible.

Beat me to it, came her to post this exact thing.

Well played. Probably because no one in Australia says down under.

Had to switch out a Joshua Bos Politic deck because it was too much concave.
That said, big shout out to the Bos family and upstate affiliates.

I find creature pretty steep
Most concave board that comes to mind.

I find that kinda odd. I've always had more pop on a middlegrouñd kinda concave/kick, and still prefer flatter boards. Then again my favorite boards ever were adrenaline

I'm sure it depends on many variables and I'm talking more about nose/tail kick but it has always felt like I get more pop with a steeper tail. I'm a toe on the tip for bigger ollies type and go more pocket for the flips.

I'm gonna third this, steepest one I've encountered in the wild.

I hear ya. I've always liked a bigger nose and get more pop on nollie tricks but the opposite is true if I turn the board around and skate it lol. I also like a more blunt shape. The adrenaline decks were shaped more like an FA with a blunt nose/tail, those fuckers gave me pop.

physics disagrees
concave has no effect on pop

Physics would say you can get more pop with a higher kick in the nose or tail, PS Stix has a mold that has an extra kick at the tip of the nose and tail. I personally hated it because I would miss my nose or tail hitting the ground when I tried to do anything. The flatter the better for me, tail/nose hits the ground faster and flips way easier. The set of trucks you skate are going to make a difference as well. I'm sure Paul Schmitt has a video explaining this.

i usually don't like having a gutter under my feet BUT the last reasonably-high concave board i had helped catching flip / shove tricks too.

One more vote for Bacon.
The tail kicks are steep too, I stopped riding mine on bowls just because I hated dropping in with the board pointing up higher than my erection.
Also just got my && deck, it’s concave is way harsher than I was expecting

So I have been skating Quasi decks exclusively for the past 2 years, and the other day I stepped on my friends board which was like a shop deck or something...but it had a lot of concave. I liked how it felt when I ollied on it.
So I came to Slap to ask which skate deck brands generally have the biggest concave..after repeatedly getting the response Dwindle. I ended up buying a Louie Barletta deck

Pennswood’s deep concave is the steepest I’ve seen with South Central being a close second.
Scumco (Pennswood) calls their deep dish concave. I’ve had Politic, Bacon and DOA from South Central and they have all had similarly steep concave. All feel awesome

I bought this deck cuz the shape was sick and the day I was gonna set it up I noticed that the tail barely had kick to it. I didn’t set it up. Should I have? Someone mentioned they like the mellow kick, should I not have bitched out and rode it?
Anyone skate this? Need to hear your feedback

Should be in “Shoes & Gear”, but I agree with those promoting the Scumco deep dish. Grabbed a Ty Beall off the wall of my local shop last weekend and that thing was crazy! Even my girlfriend noticed how steep it was...

Skated with a dude that had a deep dish and it was insane looking. I’ve only have the kiddie pool and silver spoon but that deep dish looked wild
