Title: Wild skate stories
Post by: cheetahsheets on February 06, 2020, 03:43:28 PM
What are some wild stories y’all got in the streets or at the parks?

Here’s two that came to mind for y’all to feed on.

My friends and I were at this random skatepark pulling an all night skate session one time. This guy who drove a semi was at the park and we ended up skating a pool with him, we shat the shit and were like yo homie u wanna go skating with us tonight. He’s like sure, let me show you this spot Natas Skated way back when, so me and the boys were like aight tight. He ends up being like let’s take my semi, so me and the squad rolled through the hood in an 18 wheeler. Ends up that we encounter a Mexican gangbanger fight, and a shitload of cops show up, and we see some dudes get there ass beat by some cops with some billy clubs and some tazers, saw some dudes get bashed in the skull with shit, while chilling in the 18 wheeler. The homie was like don’t worry and he had quite a few guns, me and the boys all grabbed one just in case because everyone in the squad knows how to shoot, but luckily the cops figured this all out in 10 minutes, we left the guns in the semi, and then moved on with life. We ended up going to the Natas Spot and that’s where I learned how to do Wallrides.

Second story I can think of for now, one time I was at a tiny ass skatepark on the east coast, and u know just chilling there skating with some homies. All of a sudden what must have been 40 Puerto Rican kids between 9-13 show up at the park with bikes and bombard the shit, when it was me and maybe 5 guys skating. They basically swarm the place and just have no etiquette and just fucking keep going for 30 minutes straight. At that 30 minute mark ten cop cars show up and come and arrest every single one of them. Turned out these little shits had fucking stolen each of these bikes from a certain Walmart and spray painted over the bikes to make it seem like they weren’t new, and just ended up coming to the park directly from Walmart.

Hope those make you happy, but just giving some ideas as to what I’m thinking about. Just some wild shit that’s ended up happening. I have a lot more then those 2, so I figured there must be some gems from the PALS.

Was skating through a parking lot downtown when I was 19 with a friend. We see a homeless looking guy collapsed next to his bike in the middle of the parking lot. We went up to check on him and he was he was completly still. I couls just tell he was dead.  A guy walked over and said he called a ambulance a few minutes ago  and  he had  checked his pulce and there was nothing. We skated off and didnt really talk about it after.

I saw Dick Rizzo and a bunch of the Bronze guys skating a ledge to wallride spot in my city.  I asked him if I could hit a line on his board real quick and he said "No this isn't my board and I'm waiting for my turn".

I saw Jamie Thomas at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything.
He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?”
I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying.
The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter.
When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.

One time I hooked up with this old dude named Parker. He's the first person I got stoned with actually. This is when I was 18 and living in Albuquerque. Parker knew I skated. So Parker approaches the local skate kids who hung out at the University of New Mexico where I skated all the time and basically hit on them, telling them something along the lines of, "Hey do you guys know Daniel? He let me blow him and had a really good time! You guys should come hang out at my place and get a blowjob!" I didn't find this out until years later. I always wondered why they all mad dogged me all the time.

^i dont think most people would let you borrow their board in the first place. I kinda hate when randoms ask to use my boards in the streets. If its a kid or im at a skatepark and someone's asking, i dont really mind though.

Amazing, absolutely amazing. Never had that one happen before. I’ve had multiple crowds of people watch me my whole life skating most places I go, had many an ample opportunities to land a ramp tramp, but always found it super shallow. I still to this day don’t think I’ve ever met a man or woman who could impress the ladies and gay boys on a board more, yet has never used his abilities for ass. Like I mean maybe they can tell I’m a lion under the sheets from skating, but that’s kind of hard based on skating alone.

When I was 15 I dropped out of public school and went on an independent studies program, aka homeschool. I only had to show up to class for 30 minutes a week and skated/tried new drugs/ practiced old ones the rest of the week.

One early morning at my local, I was with a friend and we were looking to kill time. A guy shows up who was a well known kook but always had free drugs. We ask if he has any blow and he offers crack. We thought “fuck it, same deal”. Get in his beat up Honda Civic and smoke crack in the parking lot, in intervals of every 2 hours or so.

I skated for 14 hours straight, barely drank water and didn’t eat for almost 3 days. That day in the park, I skated flat ground like I never had in my life. I swear that day is when I really started learning how to skate ledges switch. Yeah, I’d say this was my most wild day in skateboarding.

Fucking epic. This reminded me of the time I smoked weed for the first time. Me and my high school skate crew pulled an all nighter out at our city, basically told our parents hey I’m staying at so and sos house when in reality we were skating all night in our city. We wanted to sleep in the homies car at one point, so we figured that we should smoke at the park, and then somehow save the weed for later, so we bought a baby bottle pop, and stored the leftover weed in there and threw it in a trash can at the park, to be grabbed later. Around the time we threw it in the trash this crazy drunk homeless person was being weird as fuck so we dipped. Me and the homies high as fuck for the first times in our lives went out to a random parking lot a few blocks from the park and crashed with the car heat on cause it was like late fall. Well a cop comes and knocks on the car door at like 3, my friends are scared shitless, but somehow I’m able to convince this cop that we were here because this drunk homeless guy was vandalizing the park, so he immediately leaves after hearing that leaving us high ass high schoolers alone. We dipped pretty much right after that to somewhere else in town and went street skating. Around 6 am we went back to the park, and this was my first “after high” skate session and it was incredible, to this day I do not think I’ve fakie Ollied ever into tranny again, and I’m not even good at tranny.

Some guy with a clown mask outside Prudential center tried to sell us crack. Then I told him no thanks we like to stick with weed and he tried to buy weed off us.

Fat black gay dude hit on me on the train while talking on the phone to one of his friends describing me. Pretty disgusting but it's nice to get complimented lol

That sounds awesome. Wish I knew homeschooling was even an option.

I know this isn’t the ‘Mental health issues’ thread, but here’s why I was on independent studies:

This was in 2003/4- at the time, had crippling social anxiety and was essentially having panic attacks at least twice a day while at school. I never left campus while in public school but got to a point where I only carried one book in my backpack because I refused to go to my locker (which I never knew the location of) due to having panic attacks in any big crowd. The semester I left, I had an F in every subject except for Spanish 101.

The peak of it was when I was at a school assembly, in the bleachers, and thought every single person in the gym was looking at me during a presentation. One day thought I was having a heart attack, that’s when my parents pulled the plug and let me do independent studies. Later in life, this would lead to a major Xanax addiction that I’d go to rehab for.

Independent studies was a pilot program at the time. 100% of my courses were online and 95% of my tests were online, multiple choice. The cherry on top was you could fail the quiz, then go back with the correct answers, re-submit the test and no one would know you ever failed. I graduated in a class of 20 people, taking all AP courses (calculus, Spanish 3) with over a 4.0 and could barely read at a freshman level.

During that time, I would skate every single day for hours on end, as I never studied for tests and almost never had homework. That was my prime, hands down.

If I’m being totally honest with myself, I think I started smoking too much weed and doing drugs at a young age and that was the source of most of my anxiety. Topped with feeling like I could only talk to skaters or girls who dated skaters, I was in my own very small world.

Ironically, now being sober outside from the occasional drink, I have had almost 0 social anxiety for the past 6 years and take no prescription medications.

Gnarly.

When my friends and I were probably 10 or 11, our main hangout all summer was a spot outside of this one local public school, just across the street from a friend's house. A two, some runup, then a three. Adult ass-height drops on both sides for anyone feeling brave. Back of the school had a huge field - people and cars were distant on the main road. We were bumming around on our boards, then some random dude comes out of a window with what was clearly a monitor, wrapped in a shirt from the lost and found. We laughed, and he promptly left with the most greasy and awkward "oops" grin.

The front and back of this school was connected by a lot on one side. This was also the first place I saw skaters that were considerably older than us, in the 16-19 range. They had a car and one of them was on crutches with a cast, passing a joint while talking about recent tricks that went down, and the original Counter-Strike. That day, we were basically inspired to be skaters for the long-haul. Not a "wild" story.

*fakie nollie, just saw the post. That sucks to hear but as long as you're good now. Anxiety sucks.

I saw BA at the banks shortly after he came out publicly. I wanted to say hi and somehow congratulate him on that. I've always been a huge fan of his, this led to some anxiety. I'm also hetero, so I understood that I didn't really understand what he was going through at that time. I tried to come up with something to say to him for like an hour but never did because I didn't want to seem like a kook just fanning out during his sesh, and moreso I was afraid I might say something that might be misinterpreted or seem patronizing or out of touch in regards to his sexuality. He did a slappy 5050 thing on the box across the bank that day. I really should've just shook the guys hand and told him he was rad. I've got to stop overthinking shit lol.

I was skating my local many years ago during the summer and one day when I showed up there was this random well-dressed dude taking a nap under this big tree. When he woke up he came up and we talked for awhile. Throughout the week he was there everyday just hanging out by himself, and we got to know each other more. He claimed he was a former millionaire and worked on Wall Street, had a really nice place in NYC. Showed me pics of all the stuff he claimed, him hosting parties, and it all seemed to check out. He said he went through a nasty divorce and ex-wife kinda wrecked his life.

One day we were both hungry and he offered to buy us some lunch, so we went to a nearby restaurant and had some beers and a good meal. He went to the bathroom, then when he was walking back to our booth something was not right. He was touching his head and couldn’t really talk straight and was clearly in a lot of pain. When I was asking him what was wrong he just kept getting worse. People around started seeing something was up and this woman behind told me she was a nurse and that it looks like he was having a stroke. I called an ambulance and they wheeled him out.

I followed and when I got there I was just standing next to his hospital bed as his whole body was seizing up and I could see all his veins all over his body popping out like crazy. They started doing their thing trying to treat him, and I just kinda put my hand on his arm and was like dude...I’m here for you man. He had no family anywhere near him, his kids all lived far away. They were somehow able to get his permission through his crazy body language and his eye contact that he gave permission to be treated with a “clot-buster” med, which could potentially make things worse. He pulled through and came back to normal. Prior to that, I called his kids with his phone and left them voicemails on what was going on. He thanked me for staying with him and I eventually left and told him to call me and keep me updated. He did and after a couple days of testing they ruled it was some kind of mild stroke.

Then, a couple days later I got a call from his daughter who lived in Alaska and she asked me if he could basically live with me for several weeks until they figure out what to do. Which was bizarre because he told me he lived somewhere nearby, but according to her he was fully homeless. He didn’t look it at all and was carrying some cash and credit cards. I said to have him call me, and he never did. I tried calling him and her back for several weeks and then gave up, and I never heard back from either of them ever again. It was a bizarre experience for sure. Hope he’s all good.

Was he too embarrassed? That's fucked up either way.

Another one - rather mild than wild, but nowhere else to put this shit. Happened around the same time, possibly the same summer.

This one kid on my friend's street that we all couldn't stand - basically a moron who gives away comics and Pokemon cards to be his friend, his dad was a well-known racist. One day, he went off on one of our friends who lives on the street - blaming this black kid, saying he stole a laser pointer from his kitchen. Dude is 45 or some shit, and he's screaming at the top of his lungs at this 11 year old as we're trying to explain to this fuckwit that none of us went inside that day. Pardon that run-on. This is happening on his lawn too, in front of everyone. Kid is basically crying when his dad storms back outside, all smiles from having just found it - doesn't apologize. They went on vacation for a week and we executed his flatbar with cinder blocks.

In high school I was known to do wild shit pretty much 24/7 because well that’s just cheetah.

I ended up streaking on 3 separate occasions. The first time there was this dipshit girl who my friend was obsessed with in high school who thought Brazil was in Europe. I thought it would be funny to run up to her home naked and ding dong ditch the chick. Ended up getting like a pantyhose around my head to cover my face. Friends pulled up like a block away, ran up to do it but best part was a car drove by while I’m doing it and didn’t stop or nothing.

Second time streaking there was this kid me and my friends referred to as slipknot kid. Slipknot kid had long greasy straight black hair with a crustache at like 16 and was Mexican prolly but I’m not sure, he wore a slipknot t shirt every single day and was just a pompous ass. He used to walk around this one neighborhood with his friends loitering all day. Me and my skate crew knew where he lived tho. So one day I’m like let’s go streak slipknot kid to my homies in the dead of cold ass winter. We like into my homies small ass coupe with 5 guys. I have nothing over me except a towel on my genitals in the shotgun seat with 3 big dudes crowding the back seat like fucking stowaways. So luckily enough slipknot kid was at the bottom of the hill where his house was(his house was at the top). He was walking up it with his friend. My friend fucking burns out a giant hollow of smoke from the friction created by his tires, and I pop out the shotgun seat while they speed to the top of the hill. Without knowing they see me all of a sudden streaking towards them up the hill out of this cloud of smoke, and in doing so slipknot kids mom opens the door and sees me streaking up the hill and gasps, screams I’m calling the cops as I hop in the passenger seat of the car at the top of the hill and ride away.

The third time I streaked through a Mexican restaurant where there was a biker gang at, and I ended up farting on one of there bikes.

On a related note I also ended up mooning 600 cars one time in complete stand still traffic. This one road was just jam packed with an accident one way that wasn’t going anywhere when we passed it in the middle of rush hour. So I decided while in the back seat behind the driver of the homie, to pull down my pants and moon the other lane, homies counted over 600 cars we passed, pretty fucking epic.

I mooned many cars and people in my lifetime. Including mooning a dominos on my skateboard at least 50 times as well, full ass spread on the plexiglass front of the store. Like I would moon the dominos, ollie a 5 stair next to it and skate away each time. One time me and the homies even group mooned these fuckers, with like 4 of us going back to back to back.

During the 90's, the Fells Point square in Baltimore was the skate spot. Also it was around a plethora of bars at a time when skateboarders got a massive amount of harassment and bullshit, so do the math. From crazy fights to bums jumping in the harbor for cash, sooo much shit to tell. I do remember a bunch of us getting fucked with by a bunch a navy shipmen one night skating and fights broke out quickly. The shit escalated to outside of just skaters and jocks. At one point there was 5-6 fights at once and I received a nice splash of mace from a hippie that was punched by a beligerent drunk and maced everyone out of reflex. Crazy thing was that there were no arrests and cops were no where near this and they usually patrolled this area on the weekends like flys on shit.

Not too crazy but the first thing that came to mind is a time I was skating my local and a dude popped his shoulder out. Apparently it was his first time and he was pretty spooked, dude could barely talk and looked like he was going green from the pain, no one knew what the fuck to do. Luckily an older dude/scooter dad who was just sitting there watching this all go down finally stands up and casually walked over "actually I'm a certified paramedic" the man proceeded to take his shoe off and put his foot on the injured dudes chest, started reefing on his arm, and POP, back in it went. Pretty decent company to have around in a time like that. Slightly heroic - although his spawn was repping a scooter.

I live in a Navy town and I'm told this kinda shit was super common when ships were in port, though I never saw it in my lifetime until one week ago. I was pushing up the road to do this hill bomb with the homies. Homie in front dropped his hat so I stopped to pick it up, three cars come up behind me and one pulls over. One of them hops out (navy judging the haircut) and starts yelling shit about not 'skating on the road because it's illegal', which is not true where I'm from.

Anyway, I told him to chill out and move on with his life. Bad move, dude straight ran down the hill and sucker punched me. Thought I was sweet because I was still standing so I went home, couldn't breathe the next day tho and it turns out I had a collapsed lung. I guess encouraging violence in an institutional setting like the navy, makes violent jocks do violent shit, who knew ae Doom.

Side note:

Has anyone here had a collapsed lung? It's been a week and my breathing is better, just not 100%. I've talked to as many people as I can within the medical practice, as well as others who have experienced one and they tell me it might be a couple weeks before it comes right. Haven't been skating yet either but I might try go to the local mini today.

Seriously. Call the base and report this. You'll probably need to contact the base MP's. Give a description of what happened, the guy/guys, their cars, time/date/location and they will look into this. To add more fuel to the fire also report this to your local PD or at least tell the MP's that's your next call..

Hope you're feeling better..

Damn son that shit was WILDIN!

I mean this non sarcastically and strictly from a place of respect and admiration, GAY, but there’s some stories you tell here that really make me wonder how fucked up some of your days may have been. Parker sounds like a sexual predator who gave trash head.

I second this, GAY’s stories are always so eye opening and interesting

Hey man, when you live in a boring ass town and have anxiety, taking a day trip to NYC and randomly seeing Brian Anderson feels pretty fucking wild lol. I've only ever seen a handful of pros, let alone a top tier one like BA. I shoulda just made up a dope ass story to make me look like a  super cool guy that doesn't care about anything, not even his mom, or getting grounded....fuck.

Everyone used to meetup and skate behind a grocery store in the early 2000's. Like 20 kids sometimes. There were two curbs close together so people would bring plywood and stuff and you could make like weird kickers and ghetto ramps. One day we're leaving, and there is an abandon drug store right there. Some random kid we know grabs his board and throws it through the hugest glass window ever, even though it's a huge, super busy shopping center. It was so fucking loud it sounded like a gunshot and people were pouring out of all the businesses wondering what the fuck happened. It was pretty cool but also unnecessary. It was just amazing how big of a fucking window he broke. Sounded like a thousand beer bottles smashing at the same time.

I was backside flipping this little flatground gap from the basketball court into the parking lot at my local neighborhood (not skate) park and this white guy with really crisp, fresh-pressed clothes walks by with a tennis racquet and a can of tennis balls, a phone pressed up to his ear. He starts walking towards the stairs up to the tennis courts. Covered with sweat from my session, I notice that it's Channy Jeanguinen so I go like, "Dude...are you Channy?" And Channy kinda gives me the sideeye and he's all, "I'm on the phone" and continued towards the stairs rather briskly. But it was wild because we looked eachother dead in the eyes for a second and it energized me because after he went up to hit some balls, I pulled my backside flip.

Another time me and my friend layed on our backs on our skateboards and went through this super narrow pipe under the 5 freeway in Cardiff (the whole thing, both directions) but we stopped in the middle and climbed this ladder until we came up in the middle of the freeway, behind barriers. There were a lot of spider webs and it was really dark but you could see the light at the end of the tunnel but if there had been a earthquake, we'd have been fucked. Nobody would have known where we were. But we got through it and came out the other side into like some water resevoir, the Trenches and had another little session that was kind of wack.

Also you could skate the blocks down in Eden Gardens and you prolly got approached by this Mexican dude in a wheelchair who always offered you to come over to his house to smoke some weed. But if you went to his house, he would have vato dudes already there waiting for you and they would rob skaters. Like your shit would be finito. One time some kids tried to tell the wheelchair-bound Mexican guy to fuck off and got aggressive with him and then maybe he whistled or some shit and a bunch of gangsters like swarmed EG, coming out from every nook and cranny in the place.

i bought a new deck and bumped into some friends as i left the shop.  while we stood there chatting i put my glorious new board down and popped an ollie to see how it felt.  then i did a nollie and totally fucked it, the board shot out into the street, across one lane then hit a moving cars tyre and rebounded back towards me.
the range of emotions in afew seconds was funny, joy of my new deck, the horror of it shooting into a busy road, relief as it decided to return to me and not get run over, 3 more seconds and it would be back in my hands.
then out of nowhere a woman on a bicycle flies in and t-bones my deck and she goes arse over tit, over the handlebars and eats shit.  i should have helped her up but i was stood there dumbfounded at the last 5 seconds events.  she stands up and says 'thank alot' and hobbles off pushing her bike, her buckled front tyre wobbling and squeaking.
i picked up my board and left
