Agreed. It’s always a little sad to me when I see dudes get caught up trying to emulate this. It’s one thing for pros to live like this. At least they can say it comes with the territory of being pro (whether that’s a good excuse or not). I’ve seen too many dudes in their 30s try to live out the hellride/Thrasher lifestyle they see in videos. Drinking like Provost while trying to hold down a day job. Must be a sign of getting older that I can’t really make it through one of these edits without thinking about all the people that are getting this extremely false sense of reality from watching this shit.
They could have cut this edit down by a few minutes, removed the hellride stuff, and the entire dialogue would be centered on the skating.

Yeah the smashing at the end was lame but that skating was absolutely nuts. Also the line where Milton did a rail trick then Ollied a big set and 180d another big set could’ve used a second angle. This was all super fucking heavy.

When you skate a ledge...the ledge is still there and functions as it should. When you break a window, it's gone and someone has to pay to replace it. The logic is not that hard to follow.

People can vary on what makes them feel comfortable in that regards. I personally wouldn’t want to skate statues or memorial sites (within reason)

I get all this but I realized not everyone is chill...and people deal with life in angry and un-agreeable ways. Especially if drinking is involved.
The majority of skaters over the world are probably not hellride spray painters. we may be pointing out stupid acts unrelated to skateboarding, and why they’re even in skateboarding videos now and days...editor’s personal biases..filler....who knows.

What bugs me about Provost and peers is that I feel they represent the type who constantly makes everyone feel miserable around them, other skateboarders included. I remember how terrible my experience as a kid was at spots and parks when the aggressive/drunk/high bullies turned up, yelling, threatening people, smashing shit. While I do see the connection between adrenaline-loaded skateboarding and antagonistic behaviour, I like to think that there is a fine line where you still maintain a basic level of respect for everyone else around you. I have certainly crossed that line myself at times, but seeing it being glorified in videos is just annoying.
