Hey guys, what’s up? Hope all is well.
I’ve just released my Brent Atchley remix on my Youtube channel:
Brent Atchley Remix:
https://youtu.be/-MXerhH9wvw
-
Great selection of clips, some of my favorite lines of all time in there. Nice one, got me stoked!
-
Never saw that bs crail stall before. Atchley is gold.
-
Need more of this dude
-
Nice! I love these edits and this is going to get a lot of replay.
-
Great job, man. Atchley had (has?) that magic.
-
The underrated style king. Dude has such a casual style it looks like he's just making it up as he floats by. Could watch the dude cruise the street
-
Only dude who could really pull off the gimp arm thing
-
Buncha wack park footage, I had so much respect for you at one point memory screen I cant believe you could stoop this low
-
Always loved watching this dude skate. I remember seeing him for the first time on the transworld site and was amazed. The one with the Cornbread song
-
I was a big fan when he was around but there's a bunch here I'd never seen. The way this dude just flows effortlessly around a park is magical.

goof

I fucking love these, God bless you.
-
Damn I didn't remember his pants being that baggy.
The burnside lines are incredible. There's a lot in here that I don't think anyone else could do.
-
https://youtu.be/9QYbrX2ncVE Always loved this footage Deep cut

His arm is fucked from an injury aparently.
-
2:36 - amazing tre flip
-
Gold, my favorite mix you've ever done. So much style gods out of that 2000s era

Awesome mix - thanks for this! Had the chance to watch Brent skate when I lived in Portland for a few years. This was after his element days but still was like magic. I don't know if it really shows in video how anti gravity this man is... He just floaaaaats and his timing on transition is impeccable. Highlight for me was that little Ollie into the round deep end at Burnside at 1:38
-
Soo fucking good, thank you!!
Brent Atchley + Digable Planets = Perfect combination.
Rebirth of Slick indeed, track choice on point.

That was one of my favorites as a kid. He made skating those Nike’s look really cool at the time. I still wonder if he could’ve been a bigger name if he didn’t take the Element shoes side quest at his peak

Element was in a very strange transition - lots of recognizable old pros (Vallely, Senn, Muska, Wray, Bam, Colt Canon, Townend) mixed in with newer blood (Nyjah, Provost, Tave, Bledsoe, Atchley), before going off in a weird direction again with the hottest pros at the time (Stanton, Appleyard, Timtim). At least most of the newer guys went on to become way bigger down the road.
-
i wanted to be atchley so bad when i was a kid. i had discount dunks, baggy dickies, and what in retrospect was horrible style.
i still love him

hope for all of us who skate like we have a concrete block strapped to one of our arms for some reason

Some lost soul.

Element is gnarly
-
Some of the craziest/floatiest/most spontaneous stuff ever filmed for sure. Thanks Sneep for chopping these together, this'll be my goto Atchley clip now.

Taking a remix just a little too seriously bud. It ok if you don't get it. We forgive you.

I can't remember any footage in those Element shoes, I feel like they just started that shoe program and got canned right away. I do feel like it was weird he never got a big shoe deal though, his Element parts circulated the internet pretty hard when they came out and his name was starting to get some real traction.
I always tripped on his 7.5 setup, I guess he needed it for that snap and swiftness. Here's some picture of his buyer's guide interview from 2010 where he talks about his setup and shoes, click the imgur link under the picture and scroll for higher resolution pics.

Fucking hell, 7.5 and 49mm wheels and ripping transitions!!!
I remember kinda hating on the pushes trough Burnside, now they are one of the best bits. Such a rad style.

I guess it makes sense that he had such a light setup to facilitate that twitchy style. Kids now will never know.

Gripping this board over his trucks? That must be the secret to his flow style.

Any complaning about this is from assholes. Dude flow is unbelievable
