Serious answer: Spirit Quest. Possibly one of the best skate videos of the last 2 decades, and the last truly unique video for a long time. If you find a copy, buy it!

This, everyone else getting bootlegged.

I paid full price to see Anti-Hero's the Body Corporate just for it to not be as good as Destination Unknown (which was free), never again.

I bought the new Heroin video on VHS cause I like that nerdy shit but I’m over buying hard

I guess all Transworld videos.  Also, I would have paid money for Polar's We Blew It At Some Point had it not been almost immediately free.

I have the following on VHS:

Prime—Fight Fire with Fire
Girl-Mouse
Alien Workshop-Time Code
Zoo York—Mix Tape
Chocolate—The Chocolate Tour
Shorty’s—Fulfill the Dream
Zero—Mislead Youth

They gave me hours of entertainment but now they sit in a box. If any VHS collectors are out there hit me up and you can give these gems a new lease on life. I may have more but these stand out as ‘worth the money’.

Top 10 Videos of the 2010s in no order If you just wanted to see what the 2010s were:
1. Blessed
2. Cherry
3. Palasonic
4. The first 917 video
5. The quasi video
6. Propeller
7. Away days
8. Fetish(don’t want to hear any bullshit on this one or 7)
9. Roll up
10. Peace

2018 prolly had the best year of skating of the decade in terms of quality ass content. I know there is other shit I’m missing, but the stuff I think which will stick regardless of what slap likes is that list^^^, like just when people look back on the 2010s in 20 years in like 2040.

In terms of solo video parts I don’t think anything in the 2010s was even close to Dylan’s Gravis part or sucius verso, but Milton, a few Ishod solo parts,Daveeds SOTY part was epic, dreamland by vov, nyjah dumped some monsters onto us regardless of what u think.

Or DM Colin and get a digital download for like $10 or something. @mandibleclaw
Absolutely worth it and 100% of your money goes to the filmmaker.
If you only pay money for one video, make it Spirit Quest.

I remember being so happy after bringing home Photosynthesis and watching it for the first time. I was unsure but the shop made me buy it. They also convinced me to buy Modus Operandi because they said it was better than Feedback and The Reason. I’d watch a video everyday for a month til the next thing came out so I got my moneys worth.

Isn't it crazy how there was a time when videos like Fully Flared and MindField were like $30 at my local shop, and you could have gone to Best Buy and gotten the Lord of the Rings Return of the King for like $20.

I'm no accountant, but the cost for vans, cameras and Motel 6's can't be more than the cost of filming epic battle scenes with Viggo Mortensen and Orlando Bloom.

Way more people buy movies than skate vids. A semi-decent movie has at least broke even in the box office, so dvd sales were just bonuses.

The financials behind skate videos are still somewhat secretive but you can imagine that Lakai needed Fully Flared to sell well on dvd and create a boon in shoe/softgood sales for it to be considered a success. Which of course dictated their price.

In the Final Flare, they say they spent something like a million dollars on Fully Flared. I wonder if they made a profit on it.

Even though half the FF roster bounced for more money, crail was still crazy enough to take another 5 years to make a vid. That tells me they probably made a slight profit.

This is why it has value. You can get the special editions that come with photo books and extras. The photos/extras have value but, the video itself will probably be online any day.
