SICK
-
well that was strange! it cut out at 3:51 and then when I refreshed the video was gone! oopsie....
-
damn wtf... that was fucking SICK!!
its kinda crazy how nonchalantly he does some fucked up stuff
loved the Nollie 5-0, thats always been a fav trick of mine for some reason.
-
Looks like they fucked up the upload. Part was sick up until it cut out, hope that means theres more
They fixed it, that last section is wild, great spot selection throughout as well
-
The part is still live on Thrasher. Not the biggest Franky Villani fan but I thought this was pretty sick, some of his best footage (and cleanest trick selection) yet.
-
This guy gotta be the weirdest man in skateboarding, and I mean it in the best way possible. Unpredictable. Fantastic part.
-
Jeeeeeeeeezus
Dude is so unpredictable
Didn’t that see ender coming .....
-
that was just one "holy shit" followed by "What the fuck" right after another the whole part. I legit laughed out loud at certain tricks. Insane.
-
Franky making a push for SOTY
-
That was incredible
-
best part
-
Villani on Primitive is like a neon bouncy ball slipped into a tray of steel marbles. Respect to P-Rod for running with it.
-
Simply amazing, great trick selection and style. Franky should be on the SOTY shortlist
-
Love it
-

No doubt. Mason Silva has obviously been blowing the doors off, but, to me, THIS is skateboarding.
-
This guy fucks. I can tell. I smell the sex on him.
-
we are lucky to have Franky Villani. incredible part
-
Totally excellent. For some reason I really liked the quick fakie backside noseslide on the way to the 50 up, lipslide down.
-
Way too sick for Primitive-find this man his proper home. I have no idea what that might be.
-
Gonz would've taken a shit out of his dick if he saw that first trick back in '91.
-

Yeah idk what it is, maybe nonchalant style but he's the only skater out there that I enjoy seeing weirdo tricks done by. Maybe cause its also paired with the gnarliest and some of the most tech shit too while making it all look so good. God damn that frontside flip ender is so good
-
Way too sick for Primitive-find this man his proper home. I have no idea what that might be.
perfect fit for heroin, wish it would happen
-
Must be nice to be able to do literally anything on a skateboard.
-
Will require several rewatches to attempt to fully grasp. So sick.
Don't know why this stuck out to me considering how simple it is compared to the rest of that insanity, but the head-on filming of the front smith on a bench looked neat. Don't recall seeing an angle like that on that trick in a line before, but I've been wrong lots of times.
-
I can't believe a dude with this weird round body shape is such an ungodly skater. Kinda blows away a lot of my excuses.
Someone said it on here before but he looks like a chubby lesbian and I can’t unsee that now.
But yeah, that part was sick. He definitely doesn’t fit Primitive but can hang with any of them at like a demo. His dork tricks got Louie Bartletta vibes.
-
Best shit on a Friday. And the Mandalorian S2?
trick and spot selection so sick. always unpredictable.

I liked his twirly bird double smith. I don't really like his style but sick part. I think Primitive has a movie coming out next week, so we should see more Franky soon.
-
Best shit on a Friday. And the Mandalorian S2?
trick and spot selection so sick. always unpredictable.
I had a sneak peek at this Frank part a couple weeks back. Saving Mando until I get done here at the office...solid little Friday though for sure!
-
Intro animation remind anyone else of Extremely Sorry?
-
Damn, always been a casual fan of this dude, but this has to be one of my favorite parts of the year! LOVED that intro with the claymation and then him doing that fucked up ass trick IRL. So cool.
Editing, trick selection, everything on point. Also love that this dude skates for fucking Primitive.
-
It was almost overwhelming how much good stuff Franky had in that part.
-
The guy does « weirdo » and original tricks
Then proceeds to do more « classic » stuff, bangers on big gaps, the ender has a Reynolds vibe to it
He’s a versatile skateboarder and I love it
-
That was incredible I like Franky a lot. The only thing i could have done without was the grind up then back down tricks.
-
That tossed smith salad on the ledge to ledge was amazing.

I bet! Coincided his 213 colorway timely as well. So much good shit in this part
-
The optical illusion of those orange and black wheels looking like they were rolling backwards made me miss a bunch of tricks. Gotta rewatch
-
I’ve rewatched this 3 times and it’s still fucked beyond belief. Could he be planning a late start soty push? Seems like he’s just stacking clips
-
Franky is out here living his best life and absolutely crushing
-
Got scared and thought he switched to flip for a minute
I've never paid much attention to him but this part changed all that. So rad

Already watched this part twice and it's so good. It's amazing how good he looks skating gaps just as well as ledges and rails. And while I understand it seems like his personality doesn't really fit Primitive, I feel like they're just a safe bet for a solid paycheck. I'm just happy he's getting paid.
-
Yes!
-
Holy Shit that was fucking amazing
-
No one else is able to pull off some of the tricks he did. e.g. fakie willie 180 on a handrail.
Makes me want to skate a football shaped board.

DUDE DESERVES TO GET PAID MORE THAN HEROIN MONEY. ALSO IN HIS NEW THRASHER INTERVIEW, HE SAID HE WILL ONLY RIDE FOR A COMPANY THAT LETS HIM PICK OR DRAW ALL HIS BOARD GRAPHICS AND PRIMITIVE LETS HIM DO THAT SO HE LIKES BEING ON THERE. MAKES SENSE THOUGH...ALOT OF COMPANYS DONT LET THE RIDER DO OR PICK THEIR GRAPHIC ON EVERY DECK THAT HAS THEIR NAME ON IT.

excellent. and another prime example of how much better primitives video output is compared to almost every other brand out there.

imma start by saying i adored this part. it has almost everything
but, why is it that when someone puts out a single good part, people immediately have to claim SOTY? can't a good part just be a good part?
-
we all needed this
-
He's unbelievably good, even his throwaway footage on his youtube account is incredible.
I hope his companies are taking care of him.
-
Damn that was great! That kickflip nosegrind revert looked so good, very rewatchable part. Stoked on Franky!
-
FUCK, THAT WAS SO GOOD
Reading through this thread I wanted to quote so many people, but anyway, AMAZING part from a dude I didn’t used to be into but after watching this how can you not be down with him.
This will be on repeat for sure!
-
Outstanding part. That made me want to go skate fast as fuck.

Franky is serious the fucking best. Yes, Companies are taking care of him. I can confirm that.
-
I feel he's the type that pictures something in his head and just does it. He can do so many different types of tricks. It's crazy.
-
Franky is a weirdo and skateboarding as a whole is much better because of it.
-
Fuck yes, Franky.
1:45 - Switch pole jam (on a log) followed by the slappy into front lip is one of my favorite 1-2 punch clips this to drop this year.

Easily my favorite part of his. So much cool shit in there.

incredible in so many ways, wow
is a bf/gf doubles clip an NBD in a part?

It's always funny doing Primitive orders and the catalog always has the most random, unrelated Franky board graphics. There'll be a whole series of futuristic CGI metallic shit and then one Franky board with like a two-headed cartoon monster he drew in his bedroom. Man wants nothing to do with their bullshit.
-
Franky skates weird and I dig that.
Also between Primitive, New Balance and Dickies I get the feeling that Franky gets paid and I dig that too. Weird skaters getting paid might be the best possible thing for the culture/industry.

I kinda love that he’s on Primitive because it’s so weird. They released a video that was his B sides for Encore but narrated by Wade talking about their friendship and it was super cool. It hammers home how much everyone on Primitive gets along and how big of a part Franky plays in making the brand feel like friends and a legit crew that it makes sense for all of them to have him on. It was a really cool peek at how a big brand that has a specific aesthetic/vibe does what everyone claims skating can do which is help a bunch of random people be friends.
-
I actually think he’d be rad on Toy

Wait til you hear how many people are declared the Greatest of All Time on a daily basis!
Anyways, wholly agree. Always find it funny when it happens in the Oscars too. Somehow JLo got robbed of a win because she wasn’t immediately rewarded for trying for once.
-
damn he really just shit on everyone with that. holy fuck that was incredible. amazing filming too, no shitty ass lifestyle shoezooms. i like being able to see what is going on.
he's had a few parts not even that long ago? the dude is the best. slap is so triggered by Primitive it is ridiculous. look at their team, Tiago, Ribeiro, Wade, Peacock, giovani, JB...all killers. not a big robert neal fan, so like, 11 out of 12 is not bad.

i was just making that trick into a sig gif. never seen it and seems so scary. it kind of looked like you are just falling down the stairs backwards with your board under you the whole time and then just land on it. so sick.

That was one of my favorite moments from this excellent part. But I thought the choice of ender was kinda weird. It was a really standard hammer and didn't fit the vibe as a whole. It would have been better as a second- or third-to-last trick.
-

Nah, I'm with you. He's about as visually unappealing as it gets for me. Obviously very talented but... no thanks.
-
crazy to me that his November part was 2014. I've been stoked on this dude since then and he has never disappointed. This is what skateboarding is in my eyes. Does whatever the fuck he wants, makes it look good/fun, and also has proper hammers. Wow.
-
I’m very happy that Frankie didn’t do a 5050 During those 3 tricks on that grind up transfer grind down spot.
I’m always bummed when people skate a spot like that and 5050 is the first or second trick.
-
He's developed into a top shelf pro. Part was so insane. Did he get a chin check from the lamp post?
-
I can't even imagine thinking up some of the tricks in that part! I like it when weird skating is not used as an excuse for making great skating - this is an extension of skating not a replacement

Zero, and Jaimie are literally the absolute fucking worst. Every time I hear or read a new dispicable Jaimie story and the interviewer says something like "bro, that's just Jamie, that's how he is!" I think to myself, no, that's a controlling, abusive, narcissistic piece of shit.
Frankie is one of the most unique skaters I've seen in so long. Truly something to appreciate. His interview in the newest Thrasher made me love him so much more too. And again, his Jamie story made me cringe with disgust, and backed up my feelings towards Jaimie/Zero even more. I wish they'd make a Frankie board in an 8.3 so I could skate it. Also, everyone here saying he should be on another team, big nope. He's perfect where he is. Like some other people said here, they treat him well, and as a whole team they all get along and love each other it seems. That Encore video with Wade was rad as fuck, I agree.

damn that was a amazing part, amazing skating, filming/editing and music
also Fulfill The Dream was the one of the earlier skate videos to use claymation
speaking of Primitive - i love that team but he's the only one that really stands out - seems like most the team are very tech / i know miles silvas kills rails but he's still super smooth so really makes Franky stand out the whole bunch

those chubby comments from the interviewer were weird and kind of a bummer. The kid just put out a crazy part and one of the first thing they say is "So you are a bit fat aint you ahaha". I never read thrasher so maybe it's always that bad. And the guy seems to have cool interests in films and music and all. Could have go a bit deeper into that. Anyway the part is still dope, seems like a cool guy to hang out with also. His versatility on the board is wild

Hit the nail!! (Though I would love to see another Barletta/Hsu part again)
-
Great part, pretty good mix of wildness and some legit bangers! Slightly too many combos and weird tricks for my taste, starts feeling a bit exhausting. Find myself surprised of how good he is almost after every trick, for some reason my brain doesn't want to accept that someone who looks like him could be such a talented and stylish skater

So good, he's such a weird fit on Primitive but I'm not sure what team he fits on. Franky needs his own board brand. This kid's footage is always gold, been a big fan since his Tri-Color part.

The Thrasher interview gave me a new perspective on him riding for Primitive. Cool that he found something stable that also let him do his own graphics which is so important to him. Also rad he has takes that kind of pride in anything he’s going to attach his name to.

This nicely puts into words my feelings as well. It almost makes something like a switch flip/switch heel (his are beautiful) or a tasteful fs noseslide in a line stand out that much more too?

Are ya'll offended for him? Burnett didn't even come at him too hard or anything, or say he's currently fat (even alluded the opposite with the "former heavyweight" caption), just asked for perspective as learning to skate as a fat kid. It's a legitimate topic. There's a lot of bigger kids out there that think they can't skate because of their build compared to your typical skinny, "athletic" looking skater, so I think it's cool they address it. Franky can inspire those people through that conversation.
Between him and Foy, NB# is putting on the big boys and I'm all here for it. Love to see it.
-
I'm also in the not body shaming group. If it was Big Brother, I would have expected it to be brought about offensively. Instead, it's brought up as a matter of fact. I'm actually glad they addressed it as a consequence of culture/upbringing. Leaving it out would have been a disservice to other kids who don't look like all the other pros. Good for them for getting into it.

Franky went to work for that ender and the make was so proper.

Did that Bennett grind to switch Barley grind make it into the part? As a general proposition I do not like those tricks even separately, but by God Frankie makes it look like magic stringing them together like that.
