Title: Who was the second person to land a kickflip?

We all know who did it first... Who did the next one and when? how many years after rodney did it was it a relatively common trick?

I think it was actually Gonz. He was watching Rod at all the contests. I'm 45, and until recently, I always thought Gonz invented it because he was the first guy I ever saw do it.

Possibly the Birdman.  From what I recall, on one of the Hawk vs Wolf eps he says that after Rodney showed it to everyone at the skatepark he went home and spent all day in his driveway trying it before he landed a sketchy one.

I’m going with Gonz. Mark was doing kick flips in 85/86, although the Rocco statement may be valid. He skated with Rodney and Gonz but I don’t recall seeing him with any in videos or mags. Just Gonz and Rodney.

Natas makes it seem like both him and Mark were trying kickflips in the street without each other knowing the other was doing it.
