Maybe it´s just the nostalgia speaking but I think skate backpacks are not as cool as they were in the 90s. Old shorty´s backpacks were the shit (not only the Muska one, the smaller models as well) and every company had some stylish options out. Even the tacky Osiris one with the speakers...
Nowadays skate backpacks just look and feel functional to me. Are there even backpacks from companies that are considered cool nowadays?
Let me know if you think so too or it´s just me being an old fuck.

Not sure what you're trying to get across.
I just use a Carhartt one that holds my board on the back of it. It's fire.
I used to have the classic shorty's one. Was way too flimsy

Nike's RPM seems to be a popular choice. Never gave too much thought about backpack functionality until I sold my car and had to lug my stuff around on the bus. Now I'm using a hand-me-down Dakine with lots of pockets.

Had a Clive and a SPY backpack in the 2000's, looked great but the straps tore in a heartbeat.

I had this one (random GI pic)

I traveled all over with it and I have always had a yearning to replace it with a modern version even though I own a ton of backpacks.

I guess this is the modern version

I don't have that model and I can't speak for the quality of Chrome bags these days but my rolltop backpack from them is like 10 years old and has taken so much abuse. If that is anything like mine, definitely worth it.

Still have my Savier backpack somewhere at my parents’ house.
Haven’t needed it in over 15 years though.

Im Rollin RVCA pack for roadtrips and Nixon for daily activities. Both have cheap and expensive options

I legit saw an Osiris G-Bag at Goodwill before COVID closures last year. My 13-year old self still hates the 35-year old me for not buying it.

Not sure what you're trying to get across.
Not really sure myself, I saw an old ccs scan with skate backpacks and got nostalgic. By companies I meant modern skate companies (like Polar, FA...) don´t really offer backpacks anymore it´s more like nike or carhartt I feel... But I have to admit this chrome one looks like it´s very good quality.

I just picked up one of these, was sold by its clever design. Fidlock closures, a collapsible "dirty shoes" zipper bag area at the base, and two ways to hold a board. Worth the price, to me.

I’ve been taking my old red and black Clive bag with me out to skate. It’s probably from 2005 or so. I found it at my parents house and it’s been working well.

I have one of these as well. It's a great weekend bag with the separate compartments. However flying with it as a carry on I haven't quite figured out yet. I have used it for about 6 flights now. I typically have a MacBook, iPad, a water bottle, a hoodie and my fuji film xpro3 and a pair of shoes in the shoe compartment . It always feels too full to me and makes all the inner pouches and slots hard to get to.
I have the Cardiel X Chrome bag and I think I am switching back to that one for my next flight.

I currently use the Nike RPM and it's great (as much as I don't like Nike, credit is due). You could use the MOLLE straps to attach more pouches if you feel like it, but I just use them to stick a few pins on.

I knew a kid with one of these

You got a link to the carhartt pack?
