So a few months ago, I wake up to my two dogs going completely apeshit at my front door. I rush to open it and there’s some crusty ass, homeless looking dude wearing a yellow work vest just standing on my porch, kind of aimlessly looking around. By the way, this dude isn’t wearing work boots or any other shit besides the vest, and it looked like the cheap costume kind you buy at like Dollar General or something, obviously isn’t here to work for real. Dude looks just as surprised as I am when I open the door, red in the face, fumbling over his words, and when I ask him what’s up, he just sort of gives me this half-baked story about how he was just letting me know that he worked for the city and would be working cutting down some trees on the street near my property that morning. Dogs are losing their shit (one pitbull, one pitbull/lab mix; sweethearts if they know you but they are not fond of strangers by any means) so dude finally leaves after talking out of his ass a little more and, of course, not even a whisper of workers or machinery or any semblance of work being done on my street all day, or ever, for that matter. Never saw homie ever again. Shocker. Really creeped me out, though, I mean the guys whole vibe was absolute bullshit, seems like he thought nobody was home, contemplated breaking in and got squeamish when he heard my dogs and realized someone was home. The city sends people to mow the large grassy areas in front of the houses along the road I live on fairly regularly and, for one, I’ve never had a dude come up to my house to tell me about work they were planning to do that technically wasn’t even on my property and, obviously, there’s always a large piece of equipment and crew around required for actually doing the job, let alone the work actually getting done, so obviously he wasn’t working for the city, or anybody at all, by the looks of him. I know it’s nothing huge, really, but I’ve been on like paranoid high alert since then anytime I’m home alone, been finding myself peering out the window a whole lot more lol I’m just curious if anybody else has had any interesting or strange stories about some sort of creepy encounter you’ve had similar to that, not even just at your house, per se; wether it be at home, out in public, at work, riding the bus, etc., any sort of weird run in with a sketchy character/characters. Been on a true crime kick recently, haha Just for reference, I basically live in the middle of nowhere, and nobody else but myself was home at the time, and random people knocking at the door is incredibly rare. Hell, even people delivering food jokingly tell me all the time about how out of the way and sort of creepy the drive up to my house is, so definitely seemed out of the ordinary and dude was definitely trying way to hard to sell his faux nice guy routine. Let’s hear your stories, Pals, post em’ if you got em’.

set up spike traps around the property and cover them in feces. then cover them in leaves. set up hunting cameras and cheap detection systems around the property like rocks in cans on wires. keep someone at home as the work is being done. shouldve told him that the dogs are trained to avoid food from strangers and that theyll eat his ass next time. make a sign clearly stating that intruders will be forced out with prejudice so he cant sue if anything happens. keep a mini bat at home unless you have a giant house which you can freely swing it around inside

One guy killed some dude. Him and his homeboys were high as fuck and beat the guy to death. He seemed kind of remorseful but not really. Was super hard to tell.
One of the dude in the psych ward was a gentle giant. Super huge and super chill. A week or so after he told me that he was there due to his violent nature. If he went berserk no way could the staff do shit.
Buy yeah, killers, pimps, wife beaters, male and female prostitutes etc.

I got punked out by a kid in a group home when I was 15. I knew he was legit dangerous and was terrified of him. 7 years later I saw him on the news for knocking a girl out with a pool stick, then bludgeoning her head in with a golf club.
Another guy was giving my friend a ride around for his 21st birthday. We hung out and drank and he was weird since we were kids. A month later he tricked some girl into "checking out a room for rent" and strangled her badly. She lived.

Honestly, sounds like you’ve really been through the ringer in the past, man, mad props on getting through that stuff, thanks for sharing a couple of things. I couldn’t imagine sitting shoulder to shoulder with a dude who could freak out and kill me and everybody else with his bare hands in an instant, let alone somebody who already has killed, shits fucking freaky.

Glad to hear the girl lived, at least. I can think of a couple kids I went to school with that were out there, but none who have actually hurt anybody, that I know of. The closest I can think of is this kid who threatened to shoot up the school on the last day before Summer break via a cryptic Facebook post of him with a gun (turned out to be fake) and some little message. Someone called the cops, though, and he wasn’t allowed at school the next day. He did a lot of other bizarre shit too, the worst probably being getting caught trying to hit up freshman girls at our old high school like 3 years after we graduated on social media and apparently would just like show up at school at the end of the day to try and hang out, so much to the point I was told the S.R.O finally caught him and had to tell him to beat it. Don’t know if cops ever got involved, though. He drank Windex at school once because a girl broke up with him after only a couple of days and he had to get his stomach pumped, he would constantly pass out business cards to people from this little music shop that was in town that he didn’t even work at, just wanted you to be under the impression that he did, and the people who actually did work there straight up told me they just thought he was annoying and hated him coming in. He always stank and his crappy excuse was that his grandma wouldn’t do his laundry for him; just strange, little shit. Gotta see what became of that guy sometime.

Damn that youtuber makes me really uncomfortable. I know most-true crime is technically profiteering from crime but I can usually put it out of mind. Not this time. The narrator's little jokes and cavalier attitude disgust me. It's like he's giddy over the gruesome details of the crime. Imagine the family seeing this little ferret's work.

Nothing too crazy, one time I was at a bar with a girl and bummed a cigarette off this 40 yo possibly gay middle eastern dude. Chatted for like 5 minutes and the guy seemed very excited and kinda weird. Few hours later when I'm at home I and the girl get a friend request from him (don't know how he found us, probably went through everyone in my city with my first name). I responded to the first couple texts, and the dude kept messaging me all kinds of weird things for like 5 years. Found out my home address too and sent it to me.
So yeah nothing happened but made me appreciate women more as probably most of them have to deal with this type of stuff with the exception off that I could've beat the crap out of that dude if it came to it while they probably couldn't

Sheesh, that could have ended in all sorts of different ways, homeboy sounded like he was legit stalking you or something. People with weird infatuations like that seem like they always end up doing something crazy. I would have been scared he’d like found out where I worked and show up one day with a gun to shoot the place up or something lol

On of the weirdest dudes I met was at the airport.
I was doing stationary manuals waiting for my ride to pick me up in front of a super empty terminal (my flight was one of the last arrivals of the night). While I'm fucking around, this dude walks up to me and says, "I just got back from China the kids there would love you and your skateboard." So, I walk back to my shit as I worry he is trying to rob me.
He sits down next to me and he starts telling me about his trip. It starts off innocently enough as he shows me shit he bought in China that he wants to resell in the US. Then he pulls out two photos and says, "Hey do these women look like the same person?" Obvious mail order bride type shit. And I'm like, "uhhh, I don't know." He goes on, "yeah I went over there to meet my gf but I'm not sure she was honest about her photos."
He continues on this thread for a bit and then says, "She thought she could talk to aliens. Do you think it's possible?" I responded, "uhh, I don't know dude. Women can be strange." And he goes on, "she'd go in the bathroom of our hotel and make this noise, 'ugghhhghhh.'"
At this point I'm just thinking, "Where the fuck is my ride and why won't this guy stop talking to me?"
He goes on, "yeah, and one night she got upset with me and she didn't like it when I went down on her." So, I respond, "uhh, I don't know dude. Women can be strange." He continues, "and I would love to watch her sleep naked, but one night I thought she was on the remote so I moved her and she got made about me watching her sleep naked. But it wasn't weird, I just liked to admire her. I mean isn't it weird she wouldn't let me watch her sleep?"
Then when he finally runs out of fuel for this story he pulls out photos of his trip. Most are sort of normal, but then he gets to a series of photos of a dead dog being cut up and its head being blow torched by a couple guys in an alley.
Luckily, his ride picked him up and I was just sitting outside by myself trying to understand what just happened.
Weirdest creepy nerd I ever met. I was like 19 and not old enough to handle that kind of weirdness.

These two guys came up to me with a shoebox and said something like “hey kid, wanna see something cool?” Then they open the box, and inside there is what appeared to be a dead baby (I think it was just a doll) with its torso cut open and it’s entrails out (I think it was just like rubber tubes and fake blood). I muttered something like “oh, cool, fake dead baby, you guys are making a student film or something?” They kept insisting it was real and trying to act menacingly, but a larger, older, tougher boy from my neighborhood came to the bus stop so I said something like “oh this is my homie,” and I went and stood as close to him as possible lol. The two guys eventually fucked off. The older boy asked me why I was sidling up on him, but I didn’t really know how to explain it so I just said I thought they were trying to jump me. He told me he had my back, which was dope. Thanks, Tarek!

Does anything good ever happen at bus stops? lol Shit man, wonder what the fuck they were up to, maybe just trying to fuck around and get a rise out of you, but hell, even though the baby seemed fake, ya never know what their reason for even approaching you in the first place was. At least the good homie had your back. For all we know, maybe they actually would have jumped you or worse had he not shown up.
Seriously though, we both know that growing up taking the good ol’ city bus always led us to some wild run-ins, some funny, some just weird. A homeless guy kept calling “hey pretty boy” over at me in a weird way while I was at the bus stop one day, must have been about 17. He wasn’t even at the bus stop, he was sitting at a little picnic table near by. Plenty of other people waiting around for the bus, though, so I wasn’t too bothered in the moment. Another time, a skinny, crackhead dude who introduced himself as “Ace Lou” noticed I was wearing a t-shirt of the band Carcass and my brother a Metallica tee, gathered that we were obviously into metal, and started rattling off about how he knew Glen Benton from the band Deicide (which he kept mis-pronouncing as ‘de-eye-cide’), the dudes from Obituary, Dave Mustaine, Lemmy, all these other guys and how they regularly came to BBQs at his grandfathers house. We just sort of nodded our heads, gave him the classic “Ahh, that’s cool man” every now and then. Starts talking about how we should come hang out on his houseboat because he had these “Marshall stacks” he wanted to show us. He asked for my brothers number, who gave him a fake one, and the guy put my brothers name in his phone as this hilarious nickname I guess he made up for him right on the spot. It was just my brothers actual first name, then put his last name as “Death”, and he kept saying it out loud, too lmao I still call him that all the fucking time.
Both of these were during broad daylight, too, so I don’t consider them creepy as much as comedic.

So I’m 9/10 year’s old in big mall/flea market in New Jersey, it was Black Friday.
I’m holding on to my big brothers hand as it’s fucking packed with people easily could be overwhelmed by this crowd. So as I’m walking with my brother whilst my dad was off somewhere else, I lose my brother’s hand and I’m being guided out the exit, I’m getting tugged and look up and it’s this lady scarf with glasses and I pull away but she keeps saying she’s finding my dad. I see my brother yell behind me and snatched me up like FUCK OFF THIS IS MY BROTHER!!!
Creeps weirdos and nutbags seem to have this beacon towards me, I use to have this routine where I’d out crazy the crazies by reaching in my pants and putting my arm through my zipper to shake their hand and that worked for a bit.
I feel bad for this one guy I punched him as he laid out a stack of $20 asking me to blow him, I acted as though I was and waited till his pants were down halfway and I socked him in the balls and bounced

Some good 14 years ago I was climbing around at night with friends on basically the top of an open framed gazebo thing and some people sat under so we froze and just watched as they intravenously injected hard drugs. I was the only one visible if they were to look up, frozen laying face down right above them. A young woman took a hit and did the euphoric eyes and head rolling back move and totally made prolonged eye contact with me in the dark as my blood ran cold. She looked back down, went about her business and never said a word before they walked off in short time. I remember no other details of the experience
