Are you sure his profile wasn't hacked? This seems like ur average run of the mill IG "money flipping" scam, often times they will use hacked accounts in order to boost their credibility.
Sorry this happened to you but please anyone else who sees this NEVER send anyone money for these flipping operations. 100% fake and are the social media equivalent of the Indian IRS Scam calls.

Plus, this is likely his account being hacked.
Seriously, if someone had something close to an ironclad trading system, why would they ever need $500 in capital paying an exorbitant return rate. They'd just further leverage their own profits, unless you are talking about people who invest hedgefund amounts where that insane amount of capital actually creates new trading options.

Tbh I got pulled over leaving Syracuse for “speeding” (was going 70 in a 65). I definitely smelled like weed and this was 2011 so it was still very illegal. He let me go and I knew he knew it was weird I gave it a friend to hang on to for awhile cuz I wasn’t sure and I’m pretty sure someone showed up to his house took it and gave back as not to scare me too much. OP was being a bit of a gullible rube and lost 600 bucks to a scam probably not orchestrated by Joey but was spread via his ig, and we now know it was definitely him and he wasn't hacked.
It's hard to say for certain but it seems Joey and OP were possibly both scammed/used in the situation. Joey's vid promoting said scam did nothing to absolve him though and frankly to me was goofy enough to bring his general intelligence into question (as well as the OP's, sorry mate).
Ladies on dating sites may or may not be actual ladies but either way they're probably trying to screw you and not in the good way.

It has face AI and they can make you say literally anything and it looks legit. They just use a random video from their accounts and edit with the AI to look all crazy. If you look at the video carefully you will see minor hints thats its AI.

No one is going take money from you and flip it 10x and give it to you back. NO ONE. If it sounds too good to be true, its a scam. Even if you can justify how they might be able to give you something, it's a scam. Think about this. why is someone asking you for such a low amount of money so that you could get 10x back? They said they just got paid, so they could have just kept investing themselves.

Shit, I've been scammed once. Not for any profit, but some hacker got inside the company system to impersonate an HR person and managed to get some of my personal documents. Worst fucking feeling, I was careless and felt so fucking stupid. Made me extra cautious now and a bit more sympathetic for people that fall for this kind of shit.
I know its not really the same scenario as here, but what I guess is that if you only have 600 dollars in your bank you're probably struggling, and you could do with a bit more cash to sort your life out. This guy you trust comes at you and promises some easy money, and in your situation that extra money would really make a huge change, so you risk it. Hard times often end up in a spiral of bad decisions.
And yeah, this aint no Robbin Wood shit. It's quite vile to do this shit to other people that are struggling. I honestly feel bad for the OP.
I also dont believe that video of Joey Tershay is a deep fake. Usually deep fakes are filmed stationary, with a fixed camera angle so it's easier for AI to recreate faces and gestures.
