frontside tailslides:to fakie
backside tailslides:to regs
pretty sure some pals say the exact different.
just curious how you like to come out of a tailslide.
-
Just talking about watching filmed ones, I like the frontside ones to go to fakie on a hubba and to forwards on a ledge
Backside, either are good
-
Land it
-
I usually go with a lazer flip then double pits to chesty.
-
I prefer coming out forward regardless of direction / stance . There are some exceptions depending on who does it.
-
Finally, something worth creating an account for. Pop out forward with the strength and style of Reese. Immediately shotgun Monsters until you pee green.
-
bs tail front shove out
-
I'm a sucker for front tail, shuv out to regular. I generally prefer slides that go back to regular.
-
Heath fs tail to regular
-
anything switch back to switch looks and feels *chef’s tongue punch*
-
slip out
-
FS to regs. To fakie feels like an accident. Can’t do BS

Front tail to fakie but you gotta do the little hop
-
I won't go to Fakie out of FS tail since like 1997 or so. That exposes your tail bone to the ledge. I slipped out and butt boned the ledge two time in one session. I was fucked up for years. then on day my ass bone became all frickin full of blood and puss. I was able to pop it but a few few years later I had to have the sinus removed.
I skipped my first surgery to do a graffiti battle with this kid regs at the Ave in east Boston. What a bad idea. Got me respect but it took me 3 hrs to paint a medium piece and a character.
Back tails I can't really do anymore unless it's like a Fakie front tail. I always land suski which it cool when you're trying it.
I'm prefer to forward always but 270 is obviously the beez kneez

2:07 - FS Tailslide = Regular out
Heath Kirchart owns the FS Tailslide to regular. No disrespect to The Muska, but coming out to Fakie can look like you're flopping off the end instead of exiting off clean. I'm definitely guilty of flopping off Fakie.
-
Muska to fakie ,Heath to regular
-
Frontside: Front shove Regs
-
I personally prefer the slip out onto my hip method the best
-
mccrank front tail to fakie as well with a big pop or flip out
front tail to regular is more soldier, looks like you are kinda clenching your butt cheeks a bit
feels safer to me but also seems way easier to get stuck on for some reason
back tails hard to say, i like both quite a bit i just dont like when a going to regular one doenst slide far
-
270 outs always look cool in my mind
-
I ended one with a shoulder dislocation once.
I don't recommend that, though.
-
Heath fs tail to regular
Was going to mention this, especially the one he did on the curved rail into the sidewalk/grass. That is what I think of when I think fs ts.
-
bolts.
-
to regs is always best, but bs to fakie always looks way nicer to me than fs to fakie
-
Depends on what its being set up for, sometimes lines have them ending in fakie and then something switch so it looks better than coming out regular and having to do a little awkward 180
The intentionality plays a role in making something that wouldnt normally look good, look good
-
It doesn't matter if it's done with control, but too often going to fakie looks out of control, like you're just going with your momentum. I like the look/feel of rotating one direction, then pulling it back the other direction.
FS lipslides in particular suffer when done to fakie IMO. pulling it back to regular looks way sicker.
-
You guys aren't down with the 270 out, eh?
-
1. Ride up to the ledge.
2. Ollie, turn, put tail on the ledge.
3. Ride away clean
-
Ts to sw crooks
-
900 mctwist to primo slide out
-
Land it
Preferably after sliding a few inches.

As long as you are not doing varial kickflip out, anything goes.
-
Come to a complete stop and then do a drop in style dismount.
-
Front Shuvs out of Front Tails never look as fluid as regular shuvs out of backside tails
-
Shove it out to lipslide on a pyramid rail at a skatepark in San Diego. Go Dobstaff, or go home.
