Can't wait. Palasonic is probably my favorite full-length of the past 5 or so years. Can't wait to see what the older PWBC like Brady, Lucien, Benny, Rory and Chewie have and the newer kids on the team in Heitor, Charlie Birch and Kyle Wilson. And, any Lucas footage is gold. A full Jamal part would be sick, he had a good amount of footage in Palasonic and that had the constraint of it being filmed entirely in London and he lives on the other side of the ocean.

Do you guys think this vid will have the footage from Palace's Detroit trip from a year or two ago? Did that footy ever come out or were they saving it for this full-length?
Not 100% sure if true, but I heard from a Euro TM that heard from another Euro TM that Palace is still hoping to do a separate video with all of their Detroit footage. They did 3 different trips to Detroit and were about to do their 4th and final filming trip there when Covid happened. Due to the travel restrictions they haven't been able to visit the US since, but now that the restrictions just got lifted a couple days ago hopefully the video project is back on to be finished in 2022.

Sort of expect him to have a guest trick or two. Nick Jensen who is old school PWBC had a trick in Lucian's lines at the Vic Benches despite not even being on Palace. I think the first people on where Olly, Lucien and Rory, but I could be wrong.
It is nuts how far Palace has come from a brand that emerged from Blueprint falling apart (I believe it started around when Blueprint bumped Chewey back to Am). But, they managed to capture something that wasn't represented enough in a scene that got slept on.

I'm not a big house guy, but they did a great job in the editing and it wasn't all house. Using The Apples in Stereo for Lucien's Victoria benchs line into as a homage to Toby Schuall's part in Unabombers-Headcleaner video was great.

It's basically a larger version of Tim and Henry Pack of Lies style. So, the first part is Kyle Wilson and the last is Charlie Birch which starts around the 20:50 mark. Everyone else is in a montage.
I was hoping for a bit more, especially from Brady and Lucas (two of my all time favorites), but it doesn't seem like they used much of the Detroit footage, so, maybe they'll get that last trip there next spring/summer and still have that in the pipeline.
Charlie Birch fucking delivered. Kyle Wilson and Tiago are going to single handedly get ledges 4 and half feet off the ground skate stopped.

Does anyone else find it weird that Heitor skates a lot of polar boards, I know Oski is his homie but he's got a fair amount of clips in this skating polar boards and most of his IG is the same.
The weird part is that he can skate both. Those two brands are night and day when it comes to the decks. Palace uses really flat DSM decks and Polar uses generally steeper BBS decks. But Heitor is also clearly a naturally talented skater who can rip on any old set up.

I always love how Palace go on these like 2 to 4 week trips and they film a sick edit, and Brady almost always has a full part. His footage in Deeper Understanding, Betamaximum, NormCore and The Merchandise are on constantly on repeat. In each he has at least 2 minutes of footage off a short trip or so.
And, yes, when Blueprint started having financial problems in like 2009/2010 they bumped Chewey back to AM for some insane reason.

The trends are cycling back around. Kyle's style is coming back in and Charlie skates like he is euro tum Yeto flow.

Everyone harping on about Kyles part, and rightly so, he's steezy as fuck. But the lack of love for Charlie Birch is weird. It was the gnarliest part of the lot. If he was from the West Coast of America he'd be getting lionised like mad.

I can’t quite explain it maybe it’s from playing gta vice city but HD pal gives me a serious Miami vice on skateboards feeling. Palace went from garage fits in 2010 to drug lord fits in 2020. I know he isn't a favorite, but I don't get the Shawn Powers hate? I find his skating very relatable, but in a good way. Not everyone can be as skilled and talented as Heitor.
Anyway, I really enjoyed that video. The angry man in Charlie's part was mad funny. I liked Brady's and Chewy's footy the most. Get back on the board Benny, you once were in a video game mate.
For some reason I think that video is extra good when you are slightly intoxicated.

The trends are cycling back around. Kyle's style is coming back in and Charlie skates like he is euro tum Yeto flow.
He does rip and everyone does like him a lot but he just went pro for one of the most successful skate companies so there's not much to say. If he was from West coast America he'd probably be in a pig wheels montage then back to work at taco Bell.

The major difference is that for the whole of Jamal’s career we’ve been laughing with him, for the whole of Shawn’s career we’ve been laughing at him. Jamal’s always been super aware and forthcoming about his bag of tricks too.

Jahmir got a legit crazy NBD at a skate spot tons of pros have stepped to. I'm not a huge fan of Jahmir, but I can't think of any trick Sean Powers has ever done that compares to a sw bs noseblunt at the pyramid ledges in NYC.
